Does anybody no where the off switch is on small children? How about a volume control?

Well for me the small children around me their off switch is in the tummy. When they scream and yell and cry like crazy I let them smell the yummy cookies see the yummy cookies and feel the yummy cookies and then eventually taste the yummy cookies and they are turn off from whatever they were doing that I didn't like...

okay, you have succeeded in your nice description of creating in me a desire to be quieted down :)

Hmmm, seems I have defective models as they just resume the running and screaming following cookies - unless I am giving them the wrong flavour??

LOL...no usually after that I have a project for them to do or turn on a cartoon for them to watch something to change the subject or give something else to their mind instead of what they were screaming about earlier...

Haha that is a very good question my dear! I wish there was a mute button...I wouldn't necessarily want to turn the child off but mute would be a good thing sometimes!

Oh absolutely especially for the 3yr old who rarely stops asking questions.

I have 4 kids that are all grown up now. I looked for years to find an on/off switch and a volume control but since I must have lost the manuel on the way home from the hospital or they forgot to give it to me I was never able to find those switches. Some times I would still like to find them for a grandaugher that likes to talk non stop. Maybe God forgot to put one on them so we could learn patients.

Very possible. God does move in mysterious ways.

Off switch = Nana's place. Volume control + Foam earplugs.

Grandma makes we stay with them though - too much for her to handle. I think I should give earplugs to the neighbours and plump for industrial headphones.

sleep mode and volume control, do tell me if you find these spurious buttons and knobs as they would be most helpful to know of.

How about pause? When he's about to grab something and I can't get to him in time, it would be nice to pause until I am close enough.

Oh definately - although I don't know if I would press 'play' again.

lol Try a popsicle! That'll keep em' quiet for about 2 minutes. Of course, then you have to deal with cleaning up the mess that they drip all over and the possible sugar rush that might come afterwards! Or, when my daughter was little, the movie Fox and the Hound, kept her calm for a while. She's 15 now.

An off switch? Why deprive yourself! Those little ones grow up so fast, and yo miss so much if you aren't careful. If they are loud, find out why and either accomodate it or fix it and if they are in over-drive, show them how to turn their engine off and enjoy them while you can! MY 18mo GD is so much fun! I never had a terrible two's from either my two kids or my 2 Grand kids. No such thing unless you create it. I love this age and each age after that! Enjoy every moment. they grow up fast and once it is gone, you can't get it back!
