Hi,
I have totally lost my confidence.I was really very good at my studies and was a top ranker. But nowadays i am really doing bad.I am getting less marks.
I have started taking a lot of tension and facing health problems.I am trying to find out the reason & work on it seriously. My parents are understanding. They never scold me.But i would always like to make them proud of me.
So please help me in overcoming this problem.I really need your help.. thanking everybody.

If you have a lot of tension going on, go ride a rollercoaster or do something crazy to get your mind eased up a little. As for health problems, go to the doctor.
This is one of those times when you really need to surround yourself with friends. I was going through that but for different reasons. I felt alone, with the weight of a whole world on my shoulders. I wanted to succeed so bad for my parents. I realized that what they wanted was totally different from that which I wanted. So I talked it out and the weight was lifted.
My friends really helped me out a lot with my self-confidence. Surround yourself with friends with big egos. I know, doesn't sound all that great, but they're actually a big help. They tend to sometimes be the biggest supporter one needs. Always knowing what to do or say to keep up with their image. They will help you.
If that still doesn't work, you should talk to your counselor. They're not as bad as the media makes them out. They're trained professionals and they can help you with what you're going through.
Hope this helps, good luck. :)

The best and the only way to regain your confidence is to have faith in yourself.Often people criticise other. You take critics in the postive manner. If those critics are tru then try to improve them or else just ignore it.You know what you are and You need not try to prove yourself.Dont respond to the people who makes your fun , if you will do the same to them then you will be fueling the fire,u should try to ignore them.If you will ignore them then slow they will stop teasing you.

just think that you need to do it for yourself and to your parents... amking them proud is a good reason shall we say, but if the thing affects your health, you should talk to your parents. you said they are understanding, right? so you should talk to them and explain things to them. no one can really help you with your problem but yourself and your parents. your number one concern is your parents, so it is them that you need to talk to. relax and approach them and tell them how you feel, they will never hit you when you do that. in fact, they will be more proud of you that you have told them your worries, making them feel that they are your parents, you confide to them because you love, trust and respect them...
happy new year.

There are many techniques which one can use in order to gain their self confidence again. Even though it might seem somewhat what everyone else would say- a thing that someone can do in order to gain their self confidence back is to use the "empty chair" technique. What this technique allows a person to do is talk to the "empty chair" is if someone else is there- or the thing that is keeping them from becoming self confident- and just talk things out.

sometimes pushing yourself too much things get backfire.. because you wanted to better than what you did in the past you tense to much yourself too much and hence it affect your health.. maybe try to relax a bit more but not asking you to slack.. things might get better this way round..
