The big increase in the cigarette tax is (supposed) to pay for a $35 billion expansion of the Children’s Health Insurance Program over the next five years... President Bush, counter proposed a much smaller increase, $5 billion over five years.. but congress is set on attaining a much larger increase, of $50 billion over five years..
- do you think eventually we will have cigarette wars, and gangs rising to power selling cigarettes? Do you think we will hear news reports of murders over cigarettes?
