What will you be doing at midnight tonight (New Years Eve)?

I haven't celebrated New Years Eve in many, many years! There was a time when I would be at a house party and welcoming the new year in style. No matter where I was or what I was doing I would call my parents at the stroke of midnight (after I got my New Years kisses of course!)to wish them a happy new year but once my Dad passed away that stopped as did my partying. Now my mother is asleep much before midnight and so am I so we say our happy new years to each other earlier in the night. Now my kids call me during the day to say it to me.
What are you going to be doing at the stroke of midnight tonight? Will you be out partying it up or home with family? Or will you be sleeping like me?

I will either be sleeping or watching Clarks rocking New Years Eve. I have to work until 10 tonight my husband will be home with the kids watching wrestling then when I get home I will probaly watch the New Years show for awhile and go to bed I want to be safe at home instead of on the road with drunk drivers.

It is a computer, so it does not realize anything. Try talking about the white meat part of the turkey or chicken, same thing. LOL Happy New Year

I'll be watching the countdown with my s/o, and getting my new year's kiss at midnight. Ringing in another year together, this is our 3rd New Year's Eve together. Then he's going to fix me breakfast in the morning, watch the parades on tv, and of course sports later in the day! lol As for my family, I'll call my parents this evening, early, and my sister will call me around 11pm, cause it will be midnight in Texas. I'm sure my daughters will call me, if not they will call tomorrow.

I will stay at home, because of my car problem. My pets are going to be happy. I will probably watch movies and sleep.
Happy New Year!

I will be sleeping....I was going to stay home by myself but my daughter in law called and invited me for supper. My granddaughter has not felt well and wants to see her grammy...so I will be home early though and off the roads. And sleeping will be what I am doing at the stroke of midnight unless I am making a potty run! LOL

I stayed home and watched the New Years celebration on tv where it is much safer and much warmer. I would not want to be in a huge crowd like Times Square or some other places. I went out earlier with my parents to this beautiful flower and christmas decoration exhibit in Pennsylvania and had a good time. It was very peaceful there and had some good food and got home before people start drinking and driving.

Yes like you I would be up to welcome in the New Year but that was a long time ago. Iwould stay up with my kids to se the New Year in but now they are the ones out for the evening or staying the night at friends so i will be going to bed before the stroke of 12 too. Now days I can't think of a better place to be than under some snug covers possibly with a good book.

I will wish you happy New Year in my dreams. I will be asleep. At my DSGP job I will be at a party tonight, but it will end before ten, I am sure. I am pulling extra shifts tomorrow and will work 8am to 8pm. It is okay, the work is not hard. Their residences are almost like being at home. I can be warm and cozy and do fun things. Hubby will have to go into work tomorrow. So of course we will go to bed on time like good kids. LOL.

Well it is January 1st here so Happy New Year to everyone. My family and I watched a movie lastnight and then we started to watch the entertainment that was on for the big ball drop. My wife bought hats and horns and confettie that the kids blew at midnight. We also had some poppers that I did that spurted out confetti also. After that we had a toast of grape juice and by 12:10 I was in bed. It was really snowing lastnight here and I even had to go and blow the driveway off with the snowblower. I had to do it again this morning.

Usually we go to a party in the neighborhood but, for some reason this year nobody is having any. It's kinda dissapointing since this is only the second year we have had the boys. They were just asking this morning what we were going to do. We told them that we would just have our own little party here. I hope I can stay up late with them. My broken finger is killing me. Maybe if I drink a lot! LOL

Well last year I got dragged to the bar with my mom and stepdad and though their was a big party going on I felt out of place and really found it irritating to be around a bunch of drunk people. This year however I am nine months pregnant and huge. Too miserable to do anything and can't even drink at midnight. No man to kiss and having way too bad of a day to even want to do anything. So I will probably be sleeping or watching movies with my family. Either way its going to be a dull one.

Happy New Year ctrymuziklvr!
Actually I did nothing special last night.I just sent messages to my parents and friends, and watched a cartoon movie.
This New Year's Day was the first day I could not spend it with my family so the messages from my family members were important to me.

I will be at home with my three children...my husband being deployed and all. We haven't celebrated it though in years. I used to do the party thing to, but I came to a point where my family and God was way more important than a bunch of drunks yelling and screaming. God bless and Happy New Year

I have been running around for most of the holidays. Including today. a lunder (late lunch early dinner) with friends at a restaurant. Movie, running after kids. At this point, we are an hour and 1/2 away from ringing in the new year. I am mylotting. LOL. In truth my daughter has been in bed for almost an hour, and I am ready to follow. More than likely I will ring in 2008 with a whimper. I'll be sleeping......zzzzzz
