Everytime I make a phone call to a company I am always put on hold. The longest
I've waited has been 32min. A colleague of mine told me that when studying to be a secretry, you should never leave a person on hold for more than 2 min. Have large companies lost the concept of 'service' in order to save a few dollars?

Of course they have. Why? cause they got you captivated. You have to wait as you need what they have and they know it. What I really hate too is when the automated voice comes on and tells you to enter all your account information and such, then you sit on hold for eternity and when someone answers, they ask you the same information you told the automated vioce. I just want to yell "I already told you all that!". but don't as it won't do any good. So we wait because we have to.
