Do you leave the lights on when your not home?

We have two lamps on two different levels of our house that are plugged into timers. They come on at different times so there is a light always on in the house from night until early morning. We also have a burglar alarm that is set each time we leave the house. If we leave after dark, the flood lights and porch light outside are on but we turn them off when we get back home. We're in a very safe area but I still feel the need to protect the house and my husband and I also.

hi mrrtomatoe! ^__^ we leave one or two lights on when we leave the house and no one will be left. but its not only to deter anyone who would attempt to break in but also in cases that we come home late, it would not be so dark and scary. ^__^

When I was a child I left the lights on at my bedroom, now of course I don`t leave the lights on because I need that they are off for good sleeping, have a nice day.

It depends on when I leave the house and how long I am gone for. If I know I'll get back home before it gets dark outside, then I'll turn off all the lights before I leave. But if I know it'll be dark outside when I get home then I'll make sure to leave the porch light on before I go so that I am able to see to get in the house. :P As far as deterring criminals, I don't think this method would stop them any.

In the evening my father like to leave light on, But my mother usually off the light she want to save electricity and also money.when ever i goes in the balcony i live the light on. And sometime i leave the bathroom light on is also. But in the night i alway off the light because i never sleep in light. Happy New Year, Have a Nice Day
