Just updated to IE 7.0 - is it missing a month of sundays, or what?

I took the plunge and updated to IE 7.0. But as usual, problems, problems. I can't open more than one window at a time. I click IE icon to open another window, and it does, but then from there is stalls - status bar moving VERY slowly and I have gotten more "sites not accepting" or whatever the problem is today that I did all year! Maybe due to the change of the new year date and all, but still, I used to be able to have 4-5 windows open at the same time nad work them all together. Now, with 7.0 being the only change I have made, is that my problem? Can you no longer do that with IE7? I see a thing called "Tabs" on the main screen, is that where I'd open another window? My speed has dropped alot - so slow today - but again, I'll give it to the change of the year and see how it goes tomorrow, but does anyone have any suggestions, incase that isn't what the problem is? Good thing I did a restore point. I can always go back but would prefer to stay current if possible! Thanks for any helps!

Firefox. I just started using it like 2 weeks ago and I'm totally converted now. Its so much smoother and faster I was shocked.

I did foxfire while back, but it wasn't "acceptable" in some of the paid surveys/GPT sites I do and I got tired ofr going back and forth for whichever ones. IE was doing just fine yesterday and I updated to 7/0 last night. Now I am going nuts, waiting for things to load and not being able to work multiple windows.

Yes, the tabs serve the same purpose as the additional windows. It takes some getting used to, but I really like it now. In addition, you can actually open multiple windows, so you might have two windows with two or three or four tabs in each window. I'm sure you've cleared your temp files and rebooted and all that, so hopefully everything will begin to work together after it "gels" overnight. (Or something like that.)

I thought that was what tabs were, but I can't figure out how to open a new site in a window that way. I cick on it and it is blank, no where to choose a "favorite" or anaything. Have to work on that

If you ask me, I'll go with Firefox hands down. Hassle free and trouble free operation. Add coupe of "add-ons" and dress it up with ease.

I updated to IE 7.0 10 months ago, and I haven't had any problems with it! I actually like it better than the old one!
