in order to be truly successful does one need to be famous

you must first be successful and then you have opportunity to be famous,that's my opinion.

I feel the way you think, binny. Success has different meaning to different people. Success could be being satisfied doing and performing one's duty and responsibility, being a perfect family man, caring and loving the dear ones and being a perfect man in terms of values and character. Again success could be achieving something great with context to the world, like getting recognised and becoming a public figure and reaching heights. In the latter case, he gets famous in the process. Me personally think in terms of being a complete man by adhering to my values. You're right. You don't need to be famous to be successful. Anyway, being successful has different meaning to people. You might be referring to material success but other may mean spiritual success, or emotional success. I found out that success is a broad word, so be particular on what kind of success are talking about!
