I have just recently responded to a friends discussion where I felt that this person had ended up being very judgemental about my friend because of some of the things she hadsaid in her discussion. Unfortunately this person didn't ask any question of why my friend would feel this way toward someone and just went on to tell her how harsh she was being and so on and so forth. My questions to everyone is we're a discussion forum and we're here to help with answers to the questions the discussion poses right?
Why would you go forth and automatically judge someone with out asking the righ questions?
I will say for the most part I have gotten very little judgemental comments and mostly very good discussions from everyone here and that is why I love this place becuase I know what ever I send out there I'll have a variation of ideas to go through and help me.

Human nature my friend. Some people can't help themselves. These are usually the ones that talk a big game behind a computer screen but in real life would never "dream" of openly judging someone. They probably are just ones who would rather talk behind someones back than to their face- who needs them?

Skinnychick,
I agree with you it has to be that human nature thing. I agree the one's that talk big usually wouldn't dear say a thing to your face out in public. I guess that I genuinely want to believe in the good of people..(gets me in trouble all the time).

Well, I guess it's human nature to assume things without getting to know all the information. And honestly, I don't think they would change their opinion if they knew all the facts. That's how people are. We have to learn how to take it in our stride and ignore such comments (as long as they are not directly attacking). Why do we need to get worked up about ANOTHER person's opinion? You don't know them either and shouldn't care less what their opinion is.
I know I used to get all worked up when anyone was judgemental towards me. But then I realized soon enough that it just led to another war of words and no was to gain from it. The other person wouldn't understand (or chose not to) how they were being judgemental and each of us would go on attacking the other or trying to prove our point and it didn't help the discussion in anyway. So, now I choose to ignore such people or probably put my point across in a nicer way and stop at that even if they respond in a judgemental way again.

I guess you're right they just don't seem to think and therefor don't see that what they offered is not an opinion but a judgement. thank you for your response.

thankyou I don't take it seriously I guess what bothers me is that the person being judgemental doesn't even asnwer the question just spouts out judgemnet. I could careless if the person has the total opposite opinion of me the reason I post question and discussion is to view all the different thoughts on the subject so that I may have a braoder horizon when dealing with what ever it was that I asked about. I just think judgements should be kept to oneself and that answering the question honestly should be what is done. Agian thank you for your insight.

Heehee I've read the discussion in question as well and I look at it this way. It is human nature to jump to conclusions. People very rarely like to take the time to gather all the facts and usually like to just spout off an answer thinking that the information they do have is enough for them to form an opinion. Usually discussion posts are short and a lot of the information is left out just to appease the people who respond that have the attention spam of a fruit fly. It is usually these types of people who post comments that have little to no bearing on the discussion topic or are filled with the posters personal views on what they feel the situation is. Either way with a name like cynicalandoutspoken I'm sure it won't be long before I am found guilty of doing the same thing you wrote about so I don't take it to heart when someone does it to me.

cynical,
I have alway been one to try and help my friends so I won't take it to heart but I'll always defend and I think it's not the fact it's that it happen in your discussion it's the fact that it's happening more and more that people are making jusdgement calls and not actually answering the question at hand. I feel if you can take all that time to write about a judgement and not answer the question then what are you really doing in the mylot community I have always tried to answer all the discussion to the best of my ability and to stay on task. I also ask questions when I think that I don't have enough information. So thank you as always for you input and hopefully you get more answers than judgement in you further discussions.

You do always ask when you feel something needs to be clarified. I wish there were more people like you but I am still thankful for the responses I get if for no other reason then the comedic value of the responses of other people who feel one commentor was an idiot. :)
