Ok so besides mylot I have joined Helium, Gather.com, dailyarticle.com, associated content. Now I haven't had much success with Helium and i have written several articles for them, competed in contests and did the marketplace thing. Gather.com I am not making much. Associated Content I haven't heard from them and not making alot of progress. Are their any other sites out there that are good for making money and getting your name out there?

I'm a member of a great online community site, which offers online classes, has contests & you can also earn there through referrals...the support is great & you can also have your work critiqued there, and the staff is really supportive =) They offer free to paid memberships as well. Just pm me if you want to know the link. Thanks! =)

Out of these three, Associated Content is the best one that pays the most. Because AC has gotten a lot of new Content Producers, they have taken a while to respond to articles that have been published. I am hoping that this all will change this year because it has not only frustrated the new people but also the people that have been working for them as long as I have. When I first started with them, they would respond in as little as three days and now it has taken them up to two weeks to respond. I know that this is frustrating but in the end, it is well worth it. Also, if the articles that you submit are not exclusive, then you can also submit them to Helium for extra money. The performance bonus will also help you out a lot on Ac. There are some people on there that average at around $300 a month just on the performance bonus. Want to know how they got there? The have written a lot of great articles and have also used other sites to promote their work. Don't worry about trying to get referrals to this site because it only pays a one time $3 if that referral publishes an article and then you will never make any more money off of your referrals so it really isn't worth it. Try to take advantage of the call for content because it will come in handy and will usually pay you more.

Good for you for giving this a shot! I've found it quite rewarding and FUN! First off, AC is good but they do take a while! I have taken a break from writing for them because I felt like I was writing a lot of articles about things that really didn't interest me. At Helium I enjoy the articles I write, so I'm doing much better over there. They are the largest content selection. Gather is difficult to break into. My suggestion is to stay with Helium (and maybe AC) and write about things you like!
