I don't have any dogs of my own, but this really takes me back. My grandma used to have coonhounds. I think some of them were called Redbones and Blueticks. They were beautiful, but scary to me at the time. I was really young, and they were NOT pets. They were hunting dogs, period. Clearly, yours are pets as well as whatever else. They're beautiful animals. Thanks for the pics.

Dog - A dog with sharp teeth.
I have dogs but I have not taken a picture of them. The dog in the picture is not my dog. My dogs are just the ordinary dogs in the Philippines, they are not hi-bred.

My Dad used to have redbones when he still could coonhunt. Now the only coondogs I get to see are the ones the hunters bring when they hunt my woods. My favorite sound in the world is hearing them deep in the woods baying when they've got something tree'd. I don't have coondogs, but I've got a big German Shepherd, and my last one before her was a Great Dane...I love big ole meathead dogs lol. Mine always get taught hand signals right along with their verbal cues. I get some strange people knocking at my door that want to go hunting, the silent signals let my dog know (and not them) that I want her to stand and act like a junkyard dog hahaha. (Not that I'd ever give an attack cue unless it was absolutely necessary, but some who request permits are definitely not trustworthy and quite frankly give me the creeps...ah, the perils of living alone!) Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures that aren't regular print (and no scanner to copy them over.) Your's are beautiful, thanks for sharing the pics!

I have a Coonhound mix named Razor and my son's dog is a Red-nosed Pit and Greyhound mix named Achilles. Both are great dogs and good looking too. I'd love to share their photo, but it seems I need to make about 493 more posts before I can add photos and I have no clue how to add them to your post here. I CAN, according to the FAQs, add a photo IF I start the thread. Any assistance on how to get their pictures in this post, HellaBass, would be appreciated. I'd love to let folks see our awesome dogs.
