Do you believe we need to kill foxes with dogs by chassing them to their deaths? is it cruel or do you enjoy it? I think it should be banned and stayed banned but many are still doing it, what do you think should happen to those who are caught hunting?

I think it should be banned and anyone caught "indulging" in this "sport" should be fined and jailed.
If a fox is raiding a farm and causing problems; it should be either caught and relocated or simply shot. Chasing them down with dogs is cruel and unnecessary in this day and age.

Oh you mention too "this day and age" as though we are more advanced and enlightend than hunting people.
well actually no society has ever damaged as much animal habitat so quickly and for the most part for mass produced consumer rubbish, or products like palm oil and soya.....than any other society bfore it. Some enlightnment.
"This day and age" has seen an incredible number of animals brought to the brink of extinction in just 40 years...something that thousands...maybe millions... of years of hunting has not.
Give me the hunter any time....he helps protect animals in the long run through his own interest.
While there is foxhunting there will always be foxes. And habitat for hundreds of other species as a result too.

By "this day and age" - I very simply meant that we have advanced technologially to the point where we CAN detect and easily kill ANY animal that is attacking our livestock whether it be a fox, weasel, feral dog, or feral cat.
We do not HAVE to rely on wire snares and traps with metal jaws.
I also find it AMAZING that of the predatory forms of wildlife ONLY the FOOX is singled out for being "hunted: in this manner.
You do not see people on horseback chasing down ANY other predatory animal with dogs and turning it into a "social event".
Foxes are not being "hunted" in this manner for thier fur or thier meat.
If you are so keen on this type of hunting, next time an owl, a weasel, martin, or feral housepet is seen in the neighborhood; why don't you call your friends, gather your dogs and horses and make it a big social event to track them down and kill them too. It is just as "sporting".
If an animal is NOT causing any problems - leave it alone! If it is causing problems, either use a humane trap to catch and relocate it or put a bullet in its brain.
Oh, that's right. That wouldn't be "sporting"; it would just be humane.
