backing-up my files, transfering it to 2 CDs just to make sure, even the pictures. Last year, I have had the habit of still printing on hard-copy the digital pictures, but as the pictures have piled-up, I have stopped doing it. But I have read somewhere that the CDs still have expiry date & so all the memories, all the files would still be gone in 5 or so years depending on the quality of the CD/DVD/hard disk. and the best way to do it is still to have those pictures still printed out.
What about you, how often do you back-up your files? How many copies do you think are safe from deletion. Do you still print-out your digital pictures?

Never do.
Why? Because if I keep thinsg that are that important on my pc then their asking to removed from my life. Keep everything save but I don't trust my pc, even though so far my laptop hasn't needed being reset and the games and files if lost wouldn't be the end of the world for me, my has them on hers too :)

I've heard somewhere that printed pictures can last for 50 years if you take good care of the pictures, like humidity, acidity, etc. But I guess, I'm too lazy to choose the pictures to be printed out, so now, I do what you do... to have it backed-up using external hard disks, it's more convenient nowadays :) thanks for you response :)
