What sort of New Years Eve did you have?

I had my worst New Years Eve ever. I was sick all night and I still do not know what caused it. It was like having the effects of a hangover without having any alcohol or any of the fun. I am still recovering. I have wondered if it was caused by the ibuprofen I have been taking but I have only been on it for two months and that does not seem very long to cause problems. I have stopped taking it for now and will have to talk to my Doctor about it. I hope everybody else had a better one.

I'm sorry to hear about your night. It seems to me that two months is a long time to be taking Ibuprofen if you're taking it every day. I think I've heard that it can cause stomach problems. I would ask your doctor about it. Also, what is the reason you are taking it? Did your doctor prescribe it? If you are in some sort of pain, I would look into the reason for it. I'll be praying for you. I hope you feel better soon and that you have an wonderful 2008. My New Year's Eve was spent home with my husband and three sons. We played Monopoly, watched an episode of season three of Lost (we hadn't seen it yet), ate a lot of junk food and watched the ball drop on TV. It was OK.

Sorry to hear that your shoulder is giving you pain. I suffer from tenditis of the elbow. My sister in law told me to take Vitamin B Complex. After about a month of taking 4-6 pills a day, the pain has gone away. I too was taking Aleve & Tylenol constantly for the pain and to be able to function. After months of the Aleve, I developed GERD or Acid Reflux and now taking Prilosec. Try taking Vitamin B Complex and see if your symptoms diminish or at least become tolerable. The other help is to reduce your sodium intake because the water retention cause all your joints to swell and cause inflamation. I'm no doctor, but the doctors typically don't recommend vitamins to eliminate symptoms, they would rather operate and collect the huge premium from your insurance provider. Good Luck and let me know if you try the B Complex and if it works for you.

That vitamin B sounds interesting. I will look into it. I used to take them regularly but have not for a couple of years. Thanks.

My New Years Eve wasn't all that hot either. It really didn't even feel like a holiday. I went by a friend's house, but she had hurt her arm and couldn't move it. So I still wound up doing nothing. But I do have a question... Why were you taking Ibuprofen for two months?

I'm sorry to hear that you were sick on NYE. I felt the same way on Christmas Day - headache, dizziness and vomiting but felt much better by NYE. Went fishing all day with my husband on NYE and enjoyed watching the fireworks at home.
