I didn't want to go back to work!

I work at a school and we've been on Christmas break for the past 2 weeks. Today is our first day back and I'm dreading it! Lol. I leave for work in about 10 minutes, so I thought I'd sit down and complain about work in Mylot. Lol.
Did you get any time off for Christmas break? Where do you work and what do you do?

I am very envious of teacher and the amount of time that you get off. Like all of summer! I get 3 weeks vacation a year and it goes so quickly and I never get done everything that I set out to because of either the project taking too long or other life interuptions.
We have a friend who is a male school teacher and his wife works a corporate job. He and his daughter are not allowed to mention summer break or the fact that they have off school. I find it a funny situation, but completely emphasise with her and dreading going to work while they are off.
Teaching is a special talent and there are certain grades that I think would be horrible. Like teenagers where they think they know everything and are pushing the respect limits with every person they come in contact with. What grade do you teach?

I'm not a teacher now. I used to teach 2 year olds at a Christian preschool. I had at least 12 two year olds at any given time. But, now, I simply work in the cafeteria at my boys' school so that I have time off when them when they're off. It's not a glamorous job! But, I love being able to take my kids to 'work' with me and be off when every day that they're off work. No daycare bills!

i have to agree with you there. i have been off since christmas eve day and well i have to go back to work today too...although it shouldnt be too tough (reading the thousands of emails i will have - i get all the emails that come into the company) and i only work p/t so thats cool...and in 3 days its the WEEKEND!!

I was lazy as I rose from bed this morning.It is time to go to work after some vacation.I agree w/ you, people seemed stilll have the holiday hang-over
