People usually ask me what is the configuration of PC. I really do not understand why there are asking such questions? Mine is 256 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard disk, P4 processor, 3 GHZ,etc. They say that I need to upgrade my RAM as 256 is not enough for 80 GB hard disk. Please let me know what would be the best configuartion of Home PC.

blieve e dear friend. being a computer sciense engineer i wouldnot lie to you. but the truth is the fact that there is no limit to how much you can add on. also it depends on the need of yours'. for just home use a laptop i would rather prefer with a CORE 2 DUO processor 3.0GHz, 80GB HDD, 512MB RAM, CD/DVD RW, & as said if you have more requirements or money is not the matter than you can go for even more. that was my view. feel free to cler your problems...bye

I have a good and excellent PC Configuration. I have a QuadCore CPU System with a 2gb DDR2 memory, a 512mb PCI-E graphic card and a 500gb SATA2 Harddisk. A good PC configuration is basically need if you want some high tech job. And it have an excellent advantage than other PC Specifications.

You could upgrade your ram to 512 or 1024. I see new cumputers with 2gb of ram and 250 or more gb of hard drive. I think your configuration is good and maybe adding some ram would make it a bit faster. Otherwise, for most applications, I think you are fine. I think if you do a lot of gaming, you should definitely increase your ram.

There is no such thing as a GOOD PC configuration... If your PC is preinstalled with Windows XP or Vista, the current specifications you have is not enough to run the operating system or the applications you want...If you keep this configuration to run Windows XP or Vista, you may find the experience to be very slow... You need more memory....at least 1GB RAM and more...As for hard disk, 80GB is enough though it ultimately depends on what you are storing...If you want to download or store songs and videos, you will need larger hard disk..
