I would like to know how earnings are given out and how long does it take most people to reach payout.

I agree that it depends on how much effort you put into it and how many of the features you use. You can: - get paid for posting (quality) content - get paid for replying on discussions starting by others (also quality answers, 'yes' or 'no' will not get rated very well.. it doesn't add to the discussion) - by posting quality content you might be denoted with a best response which will get you to earn a little extra - Post relevant foto's and pictures with your replies and discussions - Get (active) referrals, you'll get 25% of their earnings - Start a blog; if people visit it you can earn too You can make an easy 50 cents a day without referrals in like 2 hours depending on what and how you contribute to mylot. I've had days I made $1.97 a day without referrals, if you go about it that way you could reach pay out within a week. It all depends on what you put into it. My first payout I got after 2 weeks, it was 11 dollars somewhat if I remember correctly; I started 2 weeks before payout would be made and I succeeded in getting above $10 before payout. Hope that helps!

To be honest; I'm not sure. I was about a year ago; it also depends on how many responses I got to my own discussions and how many best responses etc. I started again this year and I got 1,11 in 4 days or which I have been active a couple of hours during 3 days and the fourth day I wasn't on I just replied to people who responded to me because I was pretty busy. The exact amount of posts is hard to determine as they are also rated on how much they contribute. You can make 100 posts that don't add anything and you will not get anything (or at least not much), and you can make 20 quality posts and get extra credit because people rate you as a fun person to discuss with. Best way to find out how much posts it would take is to start counting right away when you start out, if you really want the question answered. Personally I wouldn't put my time and effort into finding that out, but in trying to get to know mylot and your fellow mylot posters better; that will get you a lot further and is more fun also :)

Hello Gelizzy88, Honestly, the amount you earn and the time it takes to reach pay out is completely in your hands. It requires dilligent work with quality responses. If you only do 2 or 3 responses a day or only every couple of days, it will take a long time to reach pay out, but once you reach your first plateau, it does become addicting and you will strive to respond to more discussions on a regular basis. It appears as if you recently joined, so good luck and happy discussions to come your direction.

Mylot does not let us know specifically how earnings are calculated. The consensus seems to be about a penny per post, which would mean 1000 posts to make payout. But many people make payout before that. If you post quality responses and discussions you will earn more.
