Nobody likes to be ignored, i suppose. But probably some of us just want to have all the attention all the time. Are you jelous when somebody gets more attention then you? Or how do you accept the people who allways want to be the centre of the world?

i hate attention...i much rather enjoy being a wallflower...it does bother me when other people want to be the center of attention...my 4 year old is like this...it really drives me crazy, so when he wants attention, i ignore it and don't give him any attention unless he is being good...i think that strategy works, too

there are just people who dont seem to get enough of attention and is always craving for more... well maybe they haven't been given much attention by their parents for them to be like that... let's just give them the benefit of the doubt... :D

I would rather someone else mad a fool of themselves in public, like the person above has observed. But if you must open your mouth in order to get attention, make sure you know what you are saying.

Some people who want to be the centre of attention all the time, often have a personality disorder, such disassociative .They are very annoying & I end up having no tiome for them. They are often self centred & totally focused on how they feel.

I do not like to be in the center of attention and therefore avoid any such situation however, I do appreciate compliments from those I love and of course enjoy when I am noticed when I try to do something special but only by my own family and friends. On the same note I do understand that some people live through other and are slightly insecure due to which reason they need reassurement all the time...I do accept them for what they are, after all we all cannot be the same and frankly, thank God for that!

Hello dear magica. It is ok for me not to get attention as I am not intended to be paid attention to in life and work. I am not jealousy about the others getting more attention. Sometimes when I make some achievements in my work, my president would praise at big meetings, making me feel so embarrassed for this. Later I talked to him privately that if he would like to praise me, it would be better for him to mention also the other faculty as what I have been doing is group work, without which I would have never been able to make any achievements. I am so glad that my remark works. So in a word, I am a man who does not like to be noticed, but loves only to be working silently. Thank you so much for your discussion, my dear friend.
