One of my ultimate goals is to stay home and make money writing and selling my handmade jewelry.
I love to write articles and poetry. I am self published poet. I already write for associated content.com:
You can see my link at:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/15177/ariana_r_cherry.html
And I have a blog:
http://poetrynjewels.blogspot.com
and I sell jewelry: www.sentimentaljewelrycreations.com
Where are some other places that I can get paid to write, post, and something that could be worthwhile to add up. I need to make at least $800-$1,000/month. And if they can pay me through paypal--that is even better!
Thank you for anybody who answers...

Ariana, Please dont feel bad but let me tell you that if you are so good in writing and skills like that then you should try Journalism, which can fetch u more money. Better than $1000.....
Please dont take it otherwise, But just think for a while and decide

Hello.
I have thought about Journalism, but I would need to go back to school and find time to get that degree. Right now I have a full time job outside the home as a data technician/receptionist and I am raising my little girl. The only way I could find time to do so would be take online courses here and there....And my local community college doesn't offer a journalism degree--I'd have to enroll in a Univeristy, which costs more money :) Journalism is fine, but I do prefer freelance writing, & creative writing. Thanks for the tip though..

I have two suggestions for you, one about your writing and one about your jewelry. There is another writing site called Constant-Content.com. They only pay when your article sells, but the pricing is higher than Associated Content, and you can sell the article more than once. Still, there is no guarantee. They also send out email notifications when they have a buyer that wants particular type of material (usually they are commercial websites buying the writing for a set amount, typically more than $20 a shot).
The second suggestion is Etsy.com, which is an online craft site. You have to pay a very small amount to list your items (something like 10 or 20 cents per listing), but you get your own storefront, and because of all the crafters and artists, there is a lot of traffic to the site. My sister sells beaded items and photography there, and yes, she has actually sold items. I know you have your own website for the jewelry, but this is just another chance to sell. Good luck!

I'm considering trying http://helium.com ..it sounds an awful lot like mylot, only for article writing.
I'm an author of one book (though I'm working on getting it distributed still)..I own an online journal, another site for stories, lyrics, poetry and other creative endeavors with a friend, a site for xanga layouts -- though I have been neglecting it lately.. and yet another site for my own articles..but I've not been paid for writing articles before..so I'm gonna try that. It looks good..it doesn't strike me as a scam, and I don't think there's money to join..so..*shrugs* Just thought I'd mention it. I hope it's good for the both of us!
Blessings.

Take a look at Triond and WritingUp. Both of them pay ongoing royalties for your articles, as long as they continue to generate page views. Both have vertical content sites so you may get better exposure than in one take-all general site. Triond also has a photo section. You can also look at Hubpages that uses a system that gives scores to articles and decides their position according to the score. In general, I think the amount of money you can earn in all of these sites is directly linked to the quality of your work - good content attracts reeders and that in turn generates revenues.
