Or are YOU one of them? I'm sure if you have youtube as an interest then you probably have an account...have you ever posted a video and had someone leave a ridiculously mean/ignorant comment on your video that seems just for the sake of making you angry?
What did you do? Did you respond angrily, laugh at them, ignore them?
I find it hard to keep my "mouth" shut, but I do try to make my response seem as though I'm not angry even though I might be fuming. I realize that I shouldn't let these kind of people get the best of me, but I can't help myself sometimes, so I just fake it. :))

I haven't but my son has. He deliberately cultivates those obnoxious comments so he can hang the commenter out to dry. I think he considers it good exercise or something. Plus he says he has a few friends and it's fun to watch them come to his defense and lay the commenter out for him, like siccing the dogs on some creep sneaking around your yard at night.
But you're a nice girl so you probably don't want to play as rough. The world is full of a$$holes so you're bound to run across a few in your life. Doesn't have anything to do with you, and you don't need to make it a personal issue at all. I used to say "phuk 'em if they can't take a joke," now I just say "phuk 'em."

If the comment crosses the line into hate speech or a threat, I'd report it to YouTube using its DMCA form. Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't make the form easy to find. A tutorial on accessing the form and reporting abuse may be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGQ8jk294mM
When reporting, you need the offender's account name and the text of the message. Don't delete the offending message until after YouTube has had a chance to review it, otherwise they can't do anything.
If the message is something stupid like "You suck," I'd just delete that.
