Whats the best advice that your mother ever gave you?

Mine has given me alot:
Everything that glitters is not gold
Silence kills everything
A hit dog will hollar
The list goes on. What advice did you mom or father give you that sticks with you today that you will never forget.

Ever since I was a kid, my mom has been telling me and my sister everyday that a well-educated woman will reach far. it was kind of upsetting since as a kid, I always wanted to play and play and she'd call me and my sister for our daily tutorials with her. But it was rubbed in on us pretty good. lol when we reached high school and college we were so engrossed with studying and the next thing we knew we both got our degrees. and finding a job wasn't hard at all. i appreciated my mom now, moms know best. ;)
