Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why?

Mine was my chemistry teacher. I cant really say she was my favorite favorite but she told me something one day that I never forgot and If i ever saw her again, I would thank her because I have used it and applied it when I went to college. I was doing real bad in chemistry and couldnt understand why. I studied so hard but could never do better than a D on my tests. Finally one day she kept me after class and talked to me. She told me that my biggest problem was that I was trying to understand it and not memorize it. All I had to do was memorize it and stop trying to understand it and I should be ok. I tried that and I came out of that class with an A+!! I used it in college in web design so instead of trying to understand alot of things, I just memorized it and got a general understanding because I figured that the people who truly understands it was the people who came up with it. And this worked for me. Which teacher was your favorite and why?
