What does Php mean???

Can any one tell me what does Php mean?? and what is Php2, php3, php5 etc..

PHP is a recursive definition of a programming language. PHP stands for: PHP HyperText Preprocessor. PHP is a programming language server side, with that you can build your dynamic web pages of your sites, so your site can respond to visitors input. PHP2, PHP3 etc. are simply various versions of the language, if you are interested in PHP my suggestion is to use the latest version. There are also other programming languages server side like ASP and JSP.
