Where I live is home. As long as me and my s/o are together, doesn't matter what our address is, it's home. I moved 1600 miles 3 years ago, I have been back to Texas (where I had lived all my life) once since my move, and I found out something, I don't miss the state, I don't miss my old hometown, the only thing I miss is my family. But we stay in touch weekly, so it's not too bad. People who are constantly missing where they once lived, or wishing for somewhere new to live will never be truly happy wherever they are.

I have to disagree with some of your post palonghorn, you and I have known each other for many years so I know you won't be upset with me for this. :) The part of your post I disagree with is when you said "People who are constantly missing where they once lived, or wishing for somewhere new to live will never be truly happy wherever they are."

Me, i'm just comfortable where I live now, I was born here, and lived here most of my life, and all my friends and family are here!
I've visited, and lived in other places that were nice also, but I always come back home!

Even though I've only lived in the area I live in for a little voer two months, I think that I love this place more than anywhere else I have ever lived. Right now, it's Ventura County in Southern California. It's got good weather, a laid back style of living, and there is a lot to explore. The only place I still miss and want to return to one day would be San Diego, cause it was easily the best place I have ever lived. There's always something to do in San Diego and the area is plain beautiful.

I just moved to a different town and I hate it here. I would like to move back to the little town of Woodland again. It was so peaceful there.

Where I live is the city I was born in. I can honestly say that I would rather live somewhere else. Our youngest daughter and our grandson live over 300 miles away in a small country town and we love it there when we go visit. We would love to move there one day. The people there are so friendly, the neighbors seem to care about each other unlike here.

I love where I am staying now. I feel safe. The only missing is my parents since they live in the states.
