I use a Kodak Easyshare Z650 and it takes absolutely wonderful pictures. Any Kodak Easyshare is a wonderful camera for beginners - easy to use, great pictures, very user friendly. Canons take the best quality photos, from what I have seen. But they are very expensive. So you would want to balance your wants: Do you want to start serious photography, or just purchase a camera for everyday use? That would be one of the first questions you should ask yourself.

for me, it would be canon... but canon is very very very sensitive, i had canon before, it was very good, very nice... all the photos i took are very wow! but i just had a wrong turn so the camera hit the wall slightly, then it never turned on... it was very expensive! my goodness, i did not know what to do! to the fact that it is brand new, hello? what did i do?! but anyway, i have a kodak now, it's ok, the pictures are better, and at least, it is much ok and not that sensitive compared to canon. cheers!

Nikon is the only kind of digital camera I have ever bought, and I have always been pleased. They have a camera for every budget. I have always heard good things about Canon and Kodak, though I have never owned one. I think a good idea would be to go to a site like Amazon.com and read reviews of different types, to see what people who have used them say about them.

nikon kodak and canon make the best of cameras in my opinion.. if youre going for video though id pick a panasonic video camera or dvr.. nikon is pricey but worth every penny.. no company offers more lenses etc.. canon has all the other accessories that work real nice.. printers etc.. and kodak are more for the person on a budget and worth the price you pay also

Canon has always been my favorite. I would consider the best professional cameras, and Canon is also a very easy to use home-based camera. Both provide great features. Altough it is a few years old, I especially like the Canon A75 PowerShot.

I have a sony cyber shot 4.0 mega pixel camera and I've to say I'm very disappointed with the results. My next camera will be either Nikon or Cannon for sure
