Did everyone hear about Paris Hiltons grandfather giving 97% of his fortune to Charity? According to CNN, this leave poor Paris with and inheritance of only 5 million. Awww... NOT! So, do any of you feel sorry for you, or do you find humor in this? I think it's kinda funny that she isn't the millionaire she thought she was. But she makes her own money anyway, why should this affect her?

I don't feel sorry for her, but I can see how that news would come as a shock. It was always assumed that she would inherit so much more than that. You are right, though, she earns her own money as well, so it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. I guess she'll have to learn to live on a budget now. A rather large budget, but $5 million could go pretty quickly if not used wisely. I could live the rest of my life on it, though!

Yeah it was a shocker that's for sure. I too could live the rest of my life on 5 million dollars. I could probably make it work just on the interest alone!!! That is a large budget, but she has a rather expensive lifestyle... so who knows?

$5 million could go pretty fast if one didn't pay attention to what they were doing with the money. I agree that I could make it work on the interest from that, though. I don't have very expensive taste to begin with. I think $5 million is just enough to get a big head with but not live too crazy with if one wants it to last. Like you said earlier, though, she has other income. Played correctly she would never even have to touch the $5 million so it really doesn't matter if it was 5 or 500.

I don't feel sorry for her, but shes far from poor I'm sure. With a few seasons of her show she probably made a bunch. Plus they get paid thousands of dollars to show up at clubs and host parties and stuff like that. I think the only way it might affect her is it might hurt her feelings to have her grandfather give away his money to charity instead of his granddaughter.

yeah, i can see where her feelings might be hurt, but she should have taken his feelings into consideration when she was out doing the things she did that brought a bad rep to the Hilton name!

I think the grandfather wanted to clear his concious (who can blame him) by donating his fortune. I think it's great! I don't feel sorry at all for Paris Hilton. I think it's hilarious!

I don't find it humorous but I don't pity her either.. Paris has her own money anyway.. and I saw on MTV once (forgot what the show is) but they said that Paris gets away with going in a club or a store getting what she wants and not paying.. (the club owner and store owner said that when people hear that Paris went it their club/wear one of their dress their sales goes up)

yep, she has her own money. And I think it is sad that she is above the law and just gets things for free like that. Must be nice to be rich and spoiled. So I definitely don't pity her!
