Do you think Sergio Ramos is the next Paolo Maldini?

well.. i have seen Sergio Ramos quite a few times playing for Real madrid .. to say that .. i wouldnt pit him as the next Paolo Maldini .. Ramos is good .. but not as good Maldini .. Maldini is in a league of his own .. i have rarely seen him make a defensive blunder ...Ramos is young .. n he will only get better ...lets see . how he shapes up with experience .. but to be in the same level as Paolo Maldini .. its gonna be very very tough for him ..

Anceloti is probably right Sergio is very versatile in the defense and is always present in the adversary area. He has the physical strength to achieve much more thou needs to calm down sometimes.

I believe that Ramos needs a few more years before he can be compared with Maldini. Maldini has been playing football at the highest level for almost 20 years, and has played alonogside the legends of the game. Ramos is probably the best of teh Real Madrid defenders but the competition isn't there for him to be compared with. So being the best of a relatively poor defence isn't the highest praise. Maldini has had to compete with the likes of Baresi and Costacurta
