What do you think about the idea. I heard the story passed down through two people so I didn't quite get the whole story I'm sure. I don't know what to make of it, even though it would answer a lot of questions I'd had. Including one I previously posted about Where Cains wife came from and who he was afraid of when he was banned. It just throws me through a loop after being taught Eve was first. Please let me know what you have learned about Lilith and Adam. What are your thoughts to this?

I don't know all that much about the Lilith legend, just that she was Adam's first wife before Eve was created from his rib. She definitely wasn't human, she may have been a giantess. In the Chronicles of Narnia C.S. Lewis states that she was one of the Djinn [sp?] and Jadis the White Witch is descended from her line rather than Eve's. So she is kind of associated with the occult, especially since her very existence is a secret that is not mentioned in the Bible.

Hello MellyMell, I did hear about lilith from our college professor when we came across this philosophy.
He was kind of an atheist, well at least that's what we think.
He told us the story of lilith, the first woman created by God to be Adam's partner but she refused to submit to her, and have told God that they were equally made. And so she ran away, with lucifer. (God then Made Eve from Adam's and we all know that story.) Lilith wasnt too happy with it that eve was submissive and follows adam... and so she cursed Eve and all her would be sons and daughters to die. God Asked St Michael to get Lilith and for her to take her words back. it Was Michael the archangel who captured her with Luficer and made her "retract" the curse.
It was believed though that luficer and lilith's sons and daughters are the incubus / succubus that comes to people to lure them into darkness.
That's all i know. :)

It depends on which religion you read ... some say she was the first wife of Adam and then came back to tempt Eve in the form of a serpent and other religions blame her for still born children, deaths of children and when children disappear.
