About your jeans . . .

Do you wear jeans a lot? Do you wear them all the time? Are you allowed to wear them to work? Are you allowed to wear them to school? How much is "too much" when you buy jeans? Is there a certain brand of jeans that you always buy? Is there a certain store where you always buy your jeans? Do you prefer your jeans too short or too long? (Of course, the ideal length would be nice, but it doesn't always work that way!) What is your favorite color of jeans? Do you have a favorite pair of jeans, and if so, what are they like? Do you patch your jeans when they get holes in them? Do you throw out your jeans? Do you put your jeans in the dryer after you wash them? Do you prefer "clean" jeans or frayed at the bottom? Do you cut your jeans if they are too long? Do you cut slits in your jeans if they don't fit over your shoes? What kind of shoes do you wear with your jeans? Do you prefer back pockets or none? Are you upset when your jeans don't fit right anymore? How many pairs of jeans do you have?

I am a complete jeans person. lemme try and answer your query. 1. Yes a lot. 2. Yes I am allowed to wear it at workplace aswell, that's a boon! 3. I guess 4000 INR would be too much. Recently I aborted the idea of buying a great pair pf jeans just because it didn't fit my budget. 4. I buy 2-3 brands and always kinda look for those brands. 5. Yes again 2-3 stores. 6. Being on the shorter side I prefer long jeans that almost brushes the ground or I wear 3/4 jeans. I find it cool. 7. I like shades of blue, ranging from darker, petrol to lightest blue. 8. Yes I do. Recently my favorite one is a fitting jeans and with flair (that has been favorite for too long now, lol.....). It's dark blue with funky button on pockets. It fits me the best and goes with any upper I wear. 9. I haven't had any as of now. All my jeans are still intact!! 10. No I prefer natural drying. However during monsoons I have to use drier by compulsion. 11. I do not much like neat jeans, frayed is always nice. 12. Yes, I do cut my jeans to capri when it gets old. 13. Haven't tried yet. 14. I wear sneakers, flat slippers and fancy ones as well. It depends on the kind of jeans. 15. I like back pockets just for show. 16. Oh yes, I feel terribly upset when I go shopping and the jeans doesnt fit me well. I just ave to have to well fitted everytime, no compromise. 17. Currently I have 13 pairs of good wearable jeans. Thanks. That was quite a questionnaire!

I'm very comfortable in jeans. I had around 7 pairs when I was married (none fit anymore and I tried doing different things with them but none of the tailors understood what I wanted...so, I gave them away last week...after almost 9 years of marriage) Now, I have just one pair that fits:( I'll be going out and getting some more soon. I don't shop at a particular store....and I don't like it too long...short is fine....because I usually wear flats of sneakers with my jeans. I hate the frayed ones. I'm not allowed to wear them at work (unless it's sports day or a field trip)

You're most definitely right. Jeans are so popular across the globe. I don't know what I'd do without mine! (LOL) Since you don't wear jeans, I must ask you a question. Why don't you wear jeans? Do you like them? Would you wear them if you could? Perhaps jeans aren't your style, and of course, they're not for everyone, but I think many people like them because they're made so differently and can fit a variety of shapes. Thank you for your honesty and your input on this discussion. Take care, my friend!

If you believe me I don't actually own a pair, nor do my sons or would you even find a single pair in my home. Nothing aginst them, they look fine on some people there just not for me. The dress code where I work is pretty formalso I wouldn;t expect to see the there either. I guess I some sort of odd ball or something.

To tell you the truth, I don't think you're odd a bit! I'm sure you save plenty of money not buying jeans all the time. Eventually, they do wear out and if they don't look right on you, it's a good thing you don't waste your money on them anyway. I actually didn't own my own pair of jeans until I was probably between 16 and 18 years old. It's only been a few years that I've worn them. I love them, but as you said, they aren't for everyone. I really appreciate your honesty. I don't know where the world would be without people like you. Everyone is different, and it's a wonderful thing. Thank you so much for sharing. Take care, Bow Tie.

Thank you for your response. It just goes to show that jeans are such an essential part of life! I know I got super excited when they announced that we could wear jeans every day here at work. I was ecstatic! (LOL) It's been great and extremely comfortable. I mean, it's so easy to find shoes that go with jeans too. They're so flexible and forgiving. I'm sorry if there are too many questions for you! (LOL) I'm just trying to make good discussion. I'm glad you share the same view on jeans as I do. I think life couldn't go on without them. Thanks again and take care.

If you don't mind my asking, why don't you wear your pair of jeans anymore? I'm just curious because I have a pair I bought several years ago that I used to wear all the time. It's probably been about seven years since I bought that pair. Since then, I have so many more pairs that it doesn't even matter that I can't wear the other pair anymore. My older pair got stretched out since I weighed more back then, and now I can't wear them because I've lost so much weight! Thanks for your response.

I love wearing jeans to the mall. It's a very common attire. I only wore skirts when I was in school, although we didn't have uniforms. I really wanted to just wear jeans to school, though. I wear them all the time to work now. It's great! Most places, as you said, can wear jeans on Fridays, which is really nice!

I wear jeans all the time. I can wear them to work on night shift, and I find them so comfortable, especially with a little spandex in them. I like Levis the best, but, I also like Lees. I don't like them frayed, and if they have a BIG hole, I throw them out. I put them in the dryer. I 'm not sure how many I have, 4 or 5 are currently int he rotation.

I wear jeans all the time and to work also. Jeans with spandex in them are really nice and comfortable, but the only problem with those is, I dry them in the dryer also, and they always shrink! My biggest problem is finding jeans long enough, so if I have spandex jeans and put them in the dryer, then they're too short when I wear them again! I don't like frayed or "holey" jeans either, but I haven't had to throw any pairs out...yet. I like how you said you have a jeans "rotation." Your response was very fun to read. Thanks for sharing!

hi:). I wear jeans almost all the time. I am a baby sitter so I can wear whatever I want at work. I try to buy jeans with max price of 50$. But I buy them rarely, so when I find really great pair of jeans which is between 50 and 100$, I'll take it. I buy only jeans, bras, jackets and shoes with quite high price. All other clothes and other things, like grocery etc., I buy as cheep as possible. I buy jeans often in the same places, because it is sometimes difficult to find suitanable pair of jeans, so I look for them in shops I know. And when it comes to the lenght of my jeans, I prefer too long, even though they are bad when it's rainy outside. I think they look better when they are long. I prefer blue, but not light blue jeans. But I buy sometimes black jeans too. I have favourite pair of jeans, they are blue jeans, long one. I feel very comfotable in them. They are quite standard. I don't patch my jeans because I don't have a talent to sew;). I don't have a dryer, so I don't put there my jeans hehe. I buy quite standard, 'clean' jeans, but they become frayed at the bottom after month or 2, bacause I buy a little bit too long jeans often. I try to buy jeans which don't need to be cutted. But sometimes they are really too long, so I cut them. I don't cut slits ever. I wear sport style shoes, but sometimes I wear high heel shoes too. I don't mind back pockets, but they are not necessary for me. I have 3 pairs of jeans. And 1 additional paid, which I am upset with;). Because I used to like to wear them, and now they are too used and I wear them only at home. I think I could throw them out, but I like them too much LOL. After answering all your questions, I have to admit that I have never thought that I have so many things to say about my jeans! have a nice day, jazgottt.

Thanks for the compliment about this discussion, Jazgottt! I love how you answered all of the questions because it gives me a really good idea of your style. I think style is very interesting and tells a lot about a person. I agree with you about how jeans look on tall people vs. short people and how long jeans are vs. short jeans on a person. I think they should always be too long rather than too short, as I said before. Thanks for your comment. Take care!

Wow! Thanks for such a detailed response. I'm really glad you had so much to say about your jeans. I agree that jeans need to be high quality and extra long to last a decent amount of time. I prefer my jeans to be longer rather than shorter also. You're so right that they most definitely look better when they're too long instead of too short! Jeans that are too short look funny, in my opinion. I love how you said that you don't really need to have back pockets. If you're confident enough not to have them (LOL), I think that's great! I never knew there would be so many questions to ask about jeans, but I think you highlighted all of the points nicely. Thanks!

Love my jeans. I wear them when the time is right, like running to the store or going 'boot skootin' with my honey. Again, second hand - Top Name Brand Jeans I can get for between 5 to 8 dollars a pair. I cut old jeans to make rugs. I wash and dry and iron my jeans and since I get them at a good price I cut some of them off for summer. We wear Wranglers and Levi down here in Texas, but I have some nice Lucky jeans and others too. Sweats is my around the house preference when I'm alone, but I don't dare wear them if my honey is home.

I like your method of buying jeans for cheap prices. It's really the way to go nowadays with an "inexpensive" pair of jeans being $30. I don't pay that much for mine. In fact, I won't pay over $15 for jeans, but anything under $10 is a great deal for me. It's hard to find long ones! That always works when you have ripped jeans that you can convert into summer clothing. I've never heard of making rugs out of denim, but that sounds really neat!

Yes I wear jeans alot. I wear them during the day untill I get home and them I change into comfy clothes. I dont have a job right now but I do wear them to school. I used to buy $35 jeans and I think thats too spendy. I dont have a favorite brand it just depends on what I like. All jeans I buy are too long, I am 5'1 so all of my jeans get hemmed,I like light or dark blue jeans mostly.

It's funny that you would say that you wear jeans during the day but then change into more comfortable clothes. I think jeans are pretty comfortable, at least mine usually are. I understand that after wearing one thing all day, it's just nice to change into something different. Usually my "comfortable" clothes include just my PJs after I take a nice, hot shower after I get back from work. I know what you mean by jeans costing $30 at the least. It's ridiculous, isn't it?! Wow, I wish I had your problem of jeans being too long! I'm 5'9", so my jeans have to be a little longer. Consider yourself lucky! You can always roll them or cut them (if you prefer frayed jeans unless you know how to sew a finished edge). Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed reading your response!

When ever I can fine a pair that fits me, I don't have just one place to buy them from. I have to cut my jeans, they are always to long for me. Yes my fav par of jeans, they have these pink hearts on the but part and they fit me really good.

Thanks so much for telling me about your favorite pair of jeans! Yours sound wonderful. Mine are just boring blue jeans that have nothing special about them other than the fact that they were only $15, fit great, and are plenty long enough. I'm glad you don't have the same problem I do. You get to cut your jeans if they're too long. I have the hardest time finding jeans that are long enough! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you're a fellow jean-wearer. I didn't know that washing your jeans a lot isn't the best for them. I wash them almost every time I wear them to keep them extra clean, but I suppose I shouldn't do that anymore! It's nice that you don't have to wear uniforms anymore so you can choose your jeans to wear everyday. That's very interesting.

I haven't heard of the brand Miss Sixty, but I have heard of Lee. I think I probably have a couple pairs of those. Thank you for asking - I like Aeropostale and American Eagle jeans mostly, although they're very expensive. I usually just buy jeans that are long enough and cost $15 or less. It's hard to find jeans like this! However, I do have many pairs...probably too many pairs (LOL). I wear them all the time also, though. Your jeans are very spoiled as you wash them by hand! They will probably last forever.

No wonder you're so interested in this discussion! (LOL) That's very neat that you work with jeans all day. That would be kind of strange if you couldn't wear them to work. I also get to wear them everyday to work even though I work in an office. Rarely do we ever have to dress up in something more than jeans. You make me feel a lot better because I have probably over 20 pairs of jeans now! They're all blue jeans. I'd love to have some grey jeans like you. I'd also really like to have some of those wrinkle-free jeans you talked about! Wow, thank you for the detailed response. I'm sure you're a professional when it comes to knowing about jeans. They seem like they'd be really hard to produce because the seams have to be so tight so the pants don't rip and such. I'd love to learn more about how jeans are made if you would like to share!

I wear jeans everytime I go out. I do have a favorite pair of jeans. They're just the right fit for me. I prefer back pockets, they add style to your jeans. The kind of shoes that I would wear with jeans are rubber shoes, doll shoes, stilletos, heels and wedges. I really get upset if my jeans don't fit anymore and I have like about five or more of them... I really love jeans.

I love how you wear such a variety of shoes with your jeans. They're so forgiving and flexible, so you can wear pretty much any kind of shoes with jeans, and it would still look great! I like having back pockets, too, or I'd feel like something was missing...or I just might be paranoid. My last pair of jeans that didn't have back pockets got to small and short, so I had to give them away. I didn't like it because it's like there was nothing there when I'd go to put my hands in my pockets! (LOL) I guess I just get self conscious when there are no back pockets. I'm so disappointed when my jeans don't fit either! They're pretty expensive if you can find a good pair, so they're hard to come by many times. I hate having to give away a good pair of jeans just because it doesn't fit anymore. It's so depressing. I'm glad you like your jeans because it makes me feel better like I'm not so obsessed or something! Thanks for your response.

You've brought up a very good point. No wonder so many people like jeans. It helps them blend into the crowd. They're extremely common, as you said. I see you as a person who likes to stand out and be unique. Is this true? That's a wonderful characteristic to have. Since you don't wear jeans, what kind of styles do you like, if you don't mind my asking? I'm very curious as to what kind of clothes you like to wear since jeans didn't make the list. Thanks for your unique response. It was really different, and I liked it!
