i got banned from a social network site because of myLot!!!

Sorry to hear that you were banned from a site you obviously enjoyed. I also respect the fact you have a sense of humor and can joke about it...good for you!!!! I can appreciate how the site feels though...when the big Yewie announcements hit here a few months ago I was absolutely fed up with all the referrals I received and discussion after discussion being posted about Yewie...Yewie...Yewie...that I finally said...Yewie Patootie...give Mylot members a break and go there and leave the rest of who are happy here alone. So if members felt like I did in that dynamic I can certainly empathisize with the site's position. Having said that I am really happy that you were promoting Mylot rather than trying to draw members away to go somewhere else. You are a vaued member here...and I am glad you are staying...because I for one and I am sure many others appreciate you! Happy new year...and continued happy Mylotting! Raia

Holy, well at least you didnt get banned from mylot! I have had my questions on yahoo questions removed many times cause i was trying to get referals there. lol they dont take too kindly to it, and yahoo is affiliated with mylot! holy!!

it seems that u actually had surpassed all their limitation of tolerance that is why they actually kicked you out. but i would also like to mention here that it would also had been good for you as u had till been kicked out had made a lot of members for this mylot. so no need to worry try some different forum or just any other networking site which i thing you had proably started also.

Are you allowed to tell us what site that was, Secret? Or is that a Secret?

I do think the site should give a warning when i comes to deleting someone email account you could only imagine all the important things I had in my email and there all lost !!! No warning just deleted that wasnt fair i dont think

If some of these sites could just get past that kind of thing and see what kind of business it's bringing them, I don't think they would be so stuffy about it. But until they come to that realization, I guess all of us poor pawns will have to be on our toes and very careful. Sheesh! How boring is that? Teeheehee!

No big surprise, mylot says they will delete the same kind of discussions about other sites and ban members that try to promote another social network.

And you would be banned from mylot if you did the same thing here, I am sure. You can't be promoting one foum in another forum. I think this is not fair to the forum you are in. They need to make a living, too, and this is a business to them. Oh well, I think you learned your lesson. lol I have done the same thing in another forum so don't feel too badly. I'm sure a lot of people have done the same.

Hello dear secret bear friend. Reading this discussion of yours, it made me laugh about the experience that you have had out of the goodwill of promoting Mylot to more users at other sites to our commmon community. Thanks for sharing your experience being banned. lol.
