in a communities' war of sorts, orkut seems to be losing ground when compared to new kid on the block.. FACEBOOK.. the interesting thing, though, seems to be that orkut still finds itself popular in the geo regions that it first captured, more so in india and brazil..
many factors have contributed to this i think, a couple of them being that facebook having a more open interface than orkut, where programmers can add their own apps customized for facebook, and that orkut has a more "dating" approach to networking, whereas facebook is osmething that even corporates seem to be using..
any takes?

well i dont think so orkut already gained such a huge popularity that people became keened to it also one thing i want to explain is , like if somebody is using orkut for more den year and he is habitual to it and he knows how and where things works on orkut den he want to stick with it , if upcoming or exisiting other social sites attracts him then two possible things can happen
first is he dont want to go because he already devoted much time to orkut and got much new friends with already settled environment.
secondly he do not want to start again with scratch in new site.
