Addiction/bad habit

Sure glad I quit. lol The law is now in effect here in IL that no smoking in public places. I can already see that it's affecting the bars cause usually they are packed and now I only see a few cars/trucks in the parking lots.

I tried to persuade my husband to buy the bargain promo packs too but he wasn't having it. He told me the other day he was quitting, and I just nodded and said "ahuh" LOL

I'm a smoker too, Grandpa Bob, and I know it's not healthy either but so far I've been unable to quit. I think I'm just not ready yet either, like you said. Here in Pennsylvania my brand - Virginia Slims Luxury Ultra-Light 120's Non-Menthol - cost about $4.50 per pack. I get coupons through the mail for $5.00 of a carton, $2 off 3 packs, and $1 off one pack every couple months, which helps, plus about once a year they send me an order form where I can send in my UPC codes and get a coupon for a FREE carton for every 200 and a $10 off a carton for every 70. You can order up to 6 cartons, which is a great deal. They haven't had the promo packs for my brand for years so I really appreciate the coupons! Annie

I smoke the same all the time. But I do get coupons once in a while. I don't smoke that much anymore......a pack every other day or sometimes every three days.

2 packs a day?? Oh no, I hope you can at least cut down. Don't want to see you sick:( It takes me about a week to smoke a pack. So I'm a light smoker. I buy the generics they are about 2.50 a pack.

Well Grandpa Bob here in the Uk they do not do deals like that at all well not that I have seen anyway I have stopped but only because of my Illness or they reckon I will be gone in 5 years It has been 10 weeks now it is still hard as I did enjoy smoking but I guess if I want to stay around longer I had to do it

Unfortunately my brand isnt available in the U.S or at least not anywhere near me :-/ I am a Players Filter King size (Canadian ciggies) smoker...which in Canada are $10.75 CND a PACK...BUT since I cant get them here I smoke "Smoking Joes" off the rez nearby and its only $15 US a CARTON I believe...

I smoke... and yeah, I admit, it's not healthy. Even though it's really expensive, I don't switch brands. My husband and I buy 2 packs everyday and it's about $7. I've smoked Marlboro Lights for... Oh my goodness, 12 years now! Lol. Doesn't seem like I'm old enough to have smoked for 12 years. Anyways. I have smoked other brands, but not because of price. It was because I was out and bummed one from a friend. =P

Yes, thats true that smoking will give unhealthy benefit to all person and not even a little bit but a big bit. For me, and searching about it and knowing the physical effect of smoking. And smoking is a very dangerous to our health specially to our lung. And if we are new to smoking, we didn't notice the effect of smoking to our body and if the times come, and it is notice that our body is polluted of what we called a nicotine and even we have a cancer to lung. Maybe smoking have some benefit but mostly there are some disadvantage in our health.

Addiction to smoking really costs high. Aside from the high price per stick, your health will be at stake,too. It will greatly affects your health. And you might suffer from minor to major deseases as a result of heavy and continuous smoking.
