What is your definition of "luxury"?

The reason I want to know is the townhouse community that I live in, which I pay nearly $1200USD monthly for, claims to be "luxury", however, I've only been here for 3 months and it's nothing but crap. Kids of all ages, all hours of the night running up and down the streets, throwing footballs toward cars, trash all over the place, ect. things break and there's only one maintainence man here, and honestly he doesn't do anything worth the effort. It's all half a**in whatever they do, the cheapest route possible. I'm stuck in this dump for another 9 months...okay, so tell me what you'd expect of a "luxury" rental home.

Luxury is having everything you want as opposed to having all that you need..Luxuries are not necesary..Needs are

exactly and I thought I was paying for what I wanted. I could easy have moved to a less attractive area and paid about 1/2 the rent, but wouldn't have gotten what I was promised for this place.

Not that!!! It should be in a community that is exspected to be respectful and if they are a problem they are kicked out. My apartment building has a rule that is that if the police are called for any disturbance to the building you have a warning the first time and the next time you are kicked out. Any trash left on the grounds the one responsible is fined. It's all in the lease. If my house was for $1200 a month had better be a newly remodeled one, and with great water presure and perfect lighting. And no shortage of plug in outlets either. Everything better be fixed next day after the problem happens. It had better be perfect and set up to help my life be a little easier.

My def of luxury is so out of reach I cant even think about it!
Where I live 1,200 a month will get you a house, on a few acres of land, out in the country where you have total privacy, and possibly a lake or pond in your back yard. (Yea I live in the sticks....haha) I would think that you would have respectable professional neighbors, not kids running around all hours of the night, and having things reparied half a**'d. Keep your head up honey, 2mos ago u had 9mos left there, now you only have 7! :-)
