Christians and Muslims, The largest and second largest community in the world constitute about 55% of total world population. Indeed there are many common grounds between us Muslims and Christians, both religions promote unity of God ,love, love towards neighbor. Without a peace and common word between Muslims and Christians the world peace may be practically impossible.
Have a look at those links, Stop fighting, shed some thoughts and your insights.

No Abrahamic religion will ever know true peace. This is because they all have central tenets that are divisive at their core. Any religion that has a tenet that describes its followers as being the blessed, the saved, the anything that puts them in better standing or a better position than those outside of the religion will NEVER know true peace.
Even if you got all of the Abrahamic religions to agree, what about the rest of us? There are plenty of people who don't adhere to any of those religions (and you didn't even mention Judaism, one of the 'big three'). For example, I, an atheist, am condemned to Hell in more than one mainstream religion for my lack of faith. These religions either need to go away, or to be changed FUNDAMENTALLY and all the way to the core, in order for them to ever be able to TRULY achieve lasting peace with the non-theistic.
And that's just an example. Tenets like those I described above will continue to cause conflict and bloodshed for as long as they exist. When these people learn to show humility and stop thinking themselves as being 'higher' than those who don't believe they do, THEN we can actually make progress toward REAL world peace.

I disagree with the point 'no Abraham religion will ever know peace'. There are many places we live in peace and also with different Abrahamic religions or other religions.
Each of them says true followers will be blessed, but it's based on their beliefs and it is not meant to apply with the social dealings. So peace between Abrahamic religions are possible. Mainly the Abrahamic religions only got the organized beliefs, some blind followers and fanatics are more likely to be in these religions, and other religions has less concept in what is right what is wrong and which is right way, so other religions posses less discriminating behavior. In fact Islam(or other abrahamic religions) are not supposed to discriminate others socially, but fanatics and blind followers make it. If the authorities take steps towards this it will be an initiative to consider the other religions in the same way too. And many other religions don't have a tight leading authority of their faith group.
One being an Athiest, do not believe in any of such religions so the Heaven and hell also not to be believed.
If you had tried your lot to find any truth or better way your own and was not able to find truth, The final destiny is unable to predict based on Islam. If one don't have opportunity to know anything about such concepts also fall in the same category. But one understand the signs and keep ignorance towards it will be punished in hell. And one born in a Muslim family, and don't practice or believe he also will be in hell, i.e. bearing the name 'Muslim' don't save one from hell.
In between, what atheists think about Abrahamic followers? might be like "fool people believe in the literatures of fables don't have any proofs"?
As of Islam, the fundamental concept will not be changed, if change concepts it is not Islam at all. The concepts do not deny any peace towards atheists. What you mean by 'go away ?'
Islam do not teaches to do bloodshed with non-Muslims {and neither other Abrahamic religions} but only fanatics or extremists do it and they get popularity than majority of the true followers. In the social consideration no one is higher than other, but in the beleifs/pious sense it differs.
If each individual think positively to consider all of believers socially in a fair way without discriminating any religions, will make a better peaceful world. Let us try ourselves and make aware others about it.
Thanks for a better input,
Peace.

You comment about Abrahamic religions will ever know peace, and your comment seems all religions other than humanity isn't right, It is just like a belief possessed by religious followers towards other religions. So you don't make any difference.
Islam teaches more good ways to the humanity concept and make it clear; It do not deny humanity.
Religious beliefs are different or conflicts, upto them their religion and to me mine. I meant it doesn't effect for any dealing in the same way humanitarians posses different views of different things their own.
Religions are not supposed to fight with beliefs to ruin others. If somebody fight towards your view you will respond/defense, the same way we do. I can't believe everything is right and every concept is true and then no meaning in continuing in my religion, In the same way you believe in your view. We have a concept about whole humanity, world and almost everything. You are not taking the belief in God of Muslims or Christians as a matter, but you choose paradise & hell. It is not supposed to under estimate one. God says: 'He guides those who he wish'. But effort should be from everyone. Who ever has tried to find truth God will consider it. What do you think about religious followers? "fools believe in God" ? Who ever do not agree with one's concept or beliefs aren't fools. Every one will have their on views.
The ultimate destiny: Heaven or hell will be decided by God based on their life in earth, their way of seeking truth etc. But Allah promised everlasting paradise for those who follows his directions to live in earth. To the remaining hey may choose heaven or hell based on his deeds or his strains to find truth or aim of life.
Hell is not here in front of us, that fire won't cause problem with peace here. Mindset can't be divided based on that, only God knows what is in one's mind. And we don't and won't have to discriminate others based on that, and we don't know what one's intentions are.
When you think from outside, a mere religion, OK. But when one understand Islam as a truth and it is really from God, and he understand man kind is created by God and gave provisions by God, and God itself gave directions to live here. That is what is supposed to follow he can either follow or not follow it. If one do not believe in religion why he believe in hell and why should he mind on it?
You said 'The religions need to go away', that shows ignorance or under estimation towards them and then one don't have to comment as a humanitarian to make peace. Changing religions fundamentals mean changing religion, and change until it make it to your beliefs ?
How humanism can be a religion? What they have to say? be better humans? that only related to just life and it don't say anything about from where we come, how to live, and to where we go. It is not one to be considered as a religion. It is just some people living without any religion in better manner.
All religions are here only to make better humans and humanity or better culture dealings and to show aim of life & good path to live. If one don't have any religion and kill another, I would say he is a humanist murder.
If not, the namely Muslim doing murder isn't a Muslim.
us vs. them concept is still there for a humanist, humanist vs religious follower, doesn't make any sense in saying that humanism will stop it. If you say all are humanists it will stop, I would say if all are Muslims then also It will stop.
Some of the Abrahamic religions emerged while people were barabaric, and the prophets based on God's directions made society with cultured and good people from those barbaric people. Islam is not barbaric it is a beautiful religion and it is applicable anytime, nothing is there to fix in Islam, But need to fix some diverted people themselves call Muslims.
Truly bringing together was many times done by the prophets that is enough again people get diverted. Make religion ourself for our need is not the right.
How one want to drive is not decided by the driver, Instead Govt decide the rules and regulations for driving. If one think he is free he can drive across the track or opposite and cross more than 200km. If one don't know the traffic rules others can inform to them, If he do not hear or mind it it will destroy himself. One should understand the traffic rules himself and not to create rules his own that suit for him. And not just the aim to travel without harming other cars. One don't have to under estimate the cars of Tata and Maruti, and Tata or Maruti driver don't have to think bad about a BMW car. If one made himself a car not necessarily to be invite everyone to go through his own car.

"Each of them says true followers will be blessed, but it's based on their beliefs and it is not meant to apply with the social dealings."
Even just having something like that in one's head creates a mindset of thinking oneself 'better' or 'higher' or 'more favored' than others, and as history has shown us, things can only go wrong with that kind of mindset. All religious conflicts are BASED on it, after all. The fact is that if that mindset wasn't propagated, religious people would NEVER start fights or even wars based on beliefs.
"one understand the signs and keep ignorance towards it will be punished in hell. And one born in a Muslim family, and don't practice or believe he also will be in hell, i.e. bearing the name 'Muslim' don't save one from hell."
This is another example of exactly what I'm talking about! For a religion even to HAVE a concept of Hell, a place of ETERNAL SUFFERING WITH NO CHANCE FOR ATONEMENT (emphasized because it's very important not to trivialize exactly what Hell is defined to be), shows a mindset that is divisive to say the LEAST. How can a religion ever expect to achieve true, lasting peace, when one of its tenets is that certain people will be punished F-O-R-E-V-E-R for not doing what the religion says they ought to do?
"What you mean by 'go away?'"
I mean that if these people want to have true, lasting peace, they either need to abandon these divisive religions, OR make BIG fundamental changes to their central tenets. As they stand right now, none of the 'big three' religions are cutting it.
But take a religion like humanism. There are no fanatical, murderous humanists. Know why? Because there is nothing in humanism that even gives the OPPORTUNITY to be interpreted in a divisive or "us vs. them" way, which is more than can be said for any three of the Abrahamic religions. The Abrahamic religions, being so old and originating from a primitive, barbaric time, will never be able to truly fix this now. The best idea is to start from scratch, with ideas that truly bring people together; none of this hellfire and 'chosen ones' nonsense that just pushes people away from each other.

May be urban. We all need to co-operate each other, but no need to mix faiths either.
Some fanatics or fundamentalists may be still opposing. If the groups in either side promote such good points, then it will work to a certain extend.
Cheers.

It might do some good but only if those concerned approach it with good hearts, not as an excuse to propagate their dogma or seeking to take offence.

I always think that it's not the religions which is bad but the people in it.It's like muslims and christians wanna be leaders in the world and wanting to have the biggest religions. It doesn;t have to do with God anymore and that's a shame.Everyone is a child of God no matter what religion someone has. It's a shame because my father is a muslim (far from extreme) and my mom is catholic but my father taught me that every religion has it's truth and it's lies.So pick out the truth and you have the perfect religion.
