In being a Christian, our belief is that anyone who is not saved will go to Hell. In saying this, i believe that you have to have Christ living in you to make it to Heaven...after all, it is Heaven where God resides and if you don't have Him, then how would you make it there. I don't like responding to these type of discussions though because they cause a lot of contreversy between people, but that is my belief. God bless

your kinda wrong, the bible also in fact says that there are some who have never heard the word, or heard of Jesus, yet will be saved. They have the word written in there hearts.... What does that mean? It doesn't mean they know the bible or ever heard of Jesus, it simply means they are genuinely good hearted people who care about others and are not "evil" or "cruel" in nature.
Read a bit more into it.

Actually, it says by the time the Lord returns there will be no ear that has not heard the Word of Jesus. Thank you for correcting me though. I do read my Bible and you would really be suprised at how many people are hearing the Word of the Lord through missionaries and different people like that. Even tribes that no one knew existed until recent times are hearing the Word now, so I truly believe that everyone will have heard of Him at least once before His returning. God bless

My religion doesn't have hell. As a Celtic Reconstructionist Pagan, I believe that there are many paths we can follow in the afterlife. :)
Since I'm not a Christian, I've been being told by people that I will go to hell my entire life. Mostly for "not accepting Christ" or "not following God", not for any real negative actions of my own. It's always boggled my mind in a way, because I've known people who would say a mass murderer who followed the right God wouldn't go to hell, but I would!

*nods* Personally I believe that everyone gets what they deserve, whether it be heaven or the Summerlands or good karma for the next life, or whatever you want to call it. I can't accept the idea that one would be punished just for having the "wrong" beliefs.

To be honest i don't think there's such a thing as hell.I think people who are bad will come in a dimension with their own people.
But i don'tthink people of other religion go there.
I think that all religions are good except for some people who are in the religion and are being extremists.

Good question... But by bringing the religion into this.. it will become a debate for the religions instead.. But whatever it is I'm least bothered about any religion, including mine.. Ultimate thing is you will find the HEAVEN and the HELL, right here in your life... When you are happy and enjoying the life with a good wife, cute children understanding parents and you achieve success, its HEAVEN... On the contrary, if you feel unhappiness in your life or no success, or lets say its all hardships, then you can call that as a HELL. Hope you'll agree with me.. Whatever i have told is regardless of the religion.. Moreover, all religion preach one common point.. Do good to everyone and do not hurt anyone..... Hope I'm right about this...:)

The religions are just interpretations. And they interpret one and the same passage at many diffent ways. The christianity say that only the bad people, who are not reborn and saved will go to hell. But what is hell really? And what does it mean to be bad?
So the question is not simple:)
