I hate clutter with a passion, and yet it seems to accumulate at a most disgusting rate in my house. The problem is, I am terrible at organization. I want to organize, I just don't really have a knack for it I guess. What are some clutter-busters you utilize, and how well do they work?

Isnt it amazing how you can move into a new house and have next to nothing and 6 months later you wonder where the hell everything came from? I have no idea how people stay clutter free...Im waiting to see some more of your responses...I love HGTV....But they make it look soo easy...hahahahaha...Not soo easy when you are a stay at home mama with three kiddies! I just need ta call and see if they will do a special on my house :)

You know, I have actually THOUGHT about that. Seeing about getting on trading spaces, or design on a dime, or just SOMETHING that they do. Clean Sweep would be a good one for the current state of my office! And just knowing that they front the money and do the makeover FOR you... lol. Yeah, good idea!

HGTV's ideas are great if you have the money. It looks to me that they are for the upper class folks. I myself have a cluttered apartment. everywhere you go, there's a mess. It makes me depressed and frustrated. I start in one corner, then move to another, and then I get totally exhausted and take a long nap. Most of the time I am on my computer. This stuff is not going to go away by itself. I had to run out yesterday and go to the park, to be disturbed by bees and bugs until I ran in my car and turned the air conditioner on and played some music. I made a few calls. I was totally depressed. But eventually got out of it. How many of you sleep or go shopping to take away the depression? Does it help? Well, I went shopping yesterday and as I was putting in my car, I asked myself, did I really need what I bought? Probably not, but at least I'll have it when I need it.

my partner says i have an "ocd" i don't think i do, i just like a clutter free life, i don't want to live in someone elses mess! I feel like i run around after everyone, picking up thier mess. My partner went out today, before he left he asked what i was going to do today. I repied, i was going to have a good tidy up. He said, don't you do anything else??!! I responded with, if i didn't have to clean up after you lot, then maybe i could!! Maybe i do have issues, but it's not that hard to put things back where you found them, or wipe the sides down after fixing something to eat! is is???

well, I know how you feel. I feel like I am constantly cleaning up after someone. Between a hubby and two kids... it just never ends. And when it does I am dealing with dog hair or something else... lol. My main thing is though, toy storage, where to put so many things of paperwork to keep track of, shoes, keys, you name it. I just need to FIND a place for everything. See, we just moved into our house not even a year ago and we still aren't settled!
