Should kids be allowed to take holidays in term time?

My wife and I help run a camp which runs during the UK Easter holiday. Unfortunately the education authorities in England are having different holidays for Easter time this year. As a result, a few kids can't come. Do you think we should be allowed to take kids out of school for holidays or should we fall in line with the government recomendation and not do it?

Discipline is the first thing that is taught to kids in school. Being regular at schools is also a part of discipline and hence this habbit is incorporated in kids (students). This is why kids are generally not allowed to take leave during terms. I think kids should be allowed for the same, keeping in mind some factors like Parent's request, Kid's performance in studies, term schedule, school authorities etc. Skipping schools can be sometimes be very necessary according to the conditions. Most of the times, parents have to sacrifice their plans due to kids schools. Things should be taken into consideration!
