Why the people use different internet browser?

good Q? for security use the people uses the Internet explorer for there securite like the people online banking,online sharemarket business and more.. For speed browse the people uses the mozilla firefox like the people have a net center, and more... it is free to download and use. imac OS peoples only uses the sfary because it is not supports other products.

People use diferent internet browsers because of their qualities and the advantages and features.Generally Fire fox and Opera are faster in searching then IE.and opera has a speech machine too which will speak out the web page for you.Fire fox too has many features and is very fast in loading pages.

it depends on individual's preference I guess. Some people like the layout or the functions of the browser, or it could be that the browser is user friendly and is simple to use.

i think it all depends on ones own tastes and perceptions and also the needs from a web browser..... i use opera and find it satisfying all my needs of a web browser....some may like the firefox due to its handy extensions....and others may like the trusty old internet explorer...

The reason why is because each browser has its own different features and capabilities. Personally, I do prefer both Opera and Mozilla. I used Opera browser more frequently. It is very fast and safe to use. I also used Mozilla because it provides useful add-ons or extensions. I used IE rarely because there are some sites that cannot be opened by Opera and Mozilla.:-)

for me its firefox because of its excellen plugins and in built features. its security features is much better than internet explorer through not the opera. i switched to firefox from opera because it wass not stable and get stuck some time. firefox is easy to use and comes with a bundle of features

This can really be a long and complicated question... I will try to be as brief as possible. 1. Only ActiveX controls can be used on Internet Explorer (so some games and some web applications will only work with IE). 2. Speed. Firefox and Opera are fast... my personal experience is Opera, Firefox, IE in that order for speed. 3. Personal taste. Firefox was the first to come out with tagged browsing (open more than one internet session in one window) and then IE came along and did it with IE7 (and soon IE8 expected in 2008). 4. Rendering. Rendering of web pages depends on how the web developer designed his/her pages. Unfortunately NO ONE (yes even Firefox) does not past the W3C test for CSS (Cascading Stylesheets) though IE8 has and Opera does. What does this mean? Some web sites will look different depending on the browser you use! 5. Personability. Firefox has addons that allow you to do all kinds of things other browsers don't. Depending on what you are looking for there is something out there to make the browsing experience better.

Internet Explorer here is very slow, so thats why I am using Mozilla Firefox. And beside that, Mozilla Firefox have a lot features rather than IE. And you are safe in using Mozilla Firefox.

There are reasons, browsers have different capabilites and it would greatly depend on the needs of the user as well.

I use different internet browsers myself. The reason I do this because there are times that when I use the other one there are features that does not exist unlike the other that I use. I use Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer to browse the internet. I like mozilla better because of its features. The reason why I use Internet Explorer because there are sites that need an Internet Explorer web browser so that you can open it.

One reason would be simply the taste. People prefer the more vibrant colors of some other browser compared to the default IE. Another reason would be features. This is why I go for firefox than IE. I can get a lot of plugins that make my browsing experience a lot better with firefox. Plus, I started using firefox way before IE7 came out and that time, firefox was very secure compared to IE6.

There can be many reasons .The first one the that people like to explore new and different things that why they use multiple browsers.Second is that they different websites work best with different browsers and they choose the browser according to their past experience with the website. I have three browsers IE , Firefox and Netscape.

I think the reason is that so many people dislike Microsoft, using the alternative is a way to stick it to MS and can justify(a little) why they used Windows. Since the release of IE7 I have gone back to MS as I now find it as quick and as easy(with the tabbed browsing) as the other browsers.
