I have a few things that are my most prized possessions because of how I got them. The first is a small stuffed animal lion that my husband got me. There was no special reason. He and my son had gone out to the stores and when I got up in the morning and got in my car there it was sitting on my dash right in front of the drivers wheel. To me it is more precious than gold. Then his sister bought me this most beautiful brides doll and the only reason she bought it is because the doll had my name. There again there was no special day she just bought it because she thought of me. Both of these things are near and dear to my heart.

I think that the best possessions are sentimental things, not necessarily the most expensive. I'm glad other people feel the same way!

i would have to say my lego collection would hurt the most if i ever lost it.. much of it would be hard to replace and its a decent size collection.. very expensive to replace if at all possible to get all those pieces again.. some date back to the 70s..

I think that those are fun to collect. They are so pricey today though. They all come in sets. Did you enjoy the older legos where you had basic pieces and had to use your own creativity or do you prefer the sets that they come in nowadays?

i find myself buying the bigger sets these days but i agree theyre getting expensive.. my mom would say never pay more than 10 cents a piece.. i have quite a few larger sets with over 1000 pieces in the set etc.. like the batmobile and i have a couple castles and whatnot.. but ya i did enjoy making my own stuff quite a bit also.. i have a big rubbermaid box full of loose pieces of sets that i no longer have assembled.. i also have 2 programs i use on my computer that allow me to create lego with endless pieces etc.. lego.com released one that is very user friendly but offers a small portion of their pieces.. and ldraw.org offers more of a cad design type application to let you build stuff and offers you just about every piece you could ever want or need
