i need help....with a girl

You've known her long enough that you should have a pretty good idea on whether or not she likes you as more than a friend or not. If you can't tell by now then it's probably a good idea to let things where they are. But if you insist on finding out if she would want to be more than just your friend ask her. The worst that can happen is she could stop talking to you all together after she tells you no and then at that point you will have done yourself a favor.

Poetry is not the way to go...unless you write something small and give it to her...reciting poetry will just make you nervous. I guess it just depends on what kind of person she is, and what kind of person YOU are. Best thing to do is to be outright about it...just say..."we should do something together sometime...just you and me..." Or, if you guys already hang your best bet is to just be honest "Yeah...so...I really like you. You wanna go out on a date?" If you guys have known eachother for a year, and you really like her, then she probably already knows, because girls pick up on these things...so your best bet is probably just to be outright and honest...no beating around the bush.
