I want it! Now if I only had the money...

I know there are generally things that we all WANT, but due to the cost of it, or lack of money, or higher priorities, we just don't get it right away... or sometimes ever at all. Well, when there is something that you REALLY want but you don't need... how do you go about getting it? Do you have a special savings tactic or a reward yourself program?

I always put my change in a jar and save it up. So when I want something I can cash my change in. But not always.LOL I do with out alot of times. Also I will leave some hints to my hubby and he will suprise me with it. I love when that happens.

I have a huge issue with this. I never used to buy myself things. I would go through stores get what I needed and leave. OR I would go outragious on the other people with me and buy them all kinds of stuff but myself nothing. Well I decided 2 years ago that I work for my money, and if my bills are paid and my son has everything he needs I'm going to buy myself something. Not all the time and not a lot but now I make my selections meticulously and I look for sales before I buy. Right now I'm shopping for either an Xbox 360 or a PS3. I'm researching to see what is better for me and my wants and then will shop to see where I can get the best pricing with all the extras. Generally it takes me about 3 or 4 months before I have researched and am confident that I am making the corect buying choice for my "toys".

Yeah I am like that. I don't like to just blow large amounts of money on myself. I mean I would LIKE to, but when I think about it I always think about "well we need diapers, and we should stock up on more shampoo while it's on sale, and what if the car breaks down...." It's like I don't like to let myself have things... haha. BUT my hubby and I decided this year that 2/3 of our tax retrun can be spent on responsible things, and the other 1/3 is going to be blown on something crazy for us! I'm actually kinda excited!

Well i just usually wait untill i have the money OR if i can find the same thing on ebay or amazon im all about it:)
