is it true that dogs are not allowed to eat chocolate, peanuts and raisins? why? and what are the other foods that they are not allowed to eat? i have a dog and i gave him chestnuts, and my dog ate it but nothing happens... why do they say that these foods are taboo?

Peanuts and peanut butter ok for dogs.
No to chocolate, onions, garlic, grapes or raisins....these foods are all toxic to dogs.
We used to freeze grapes to give our guys in the summer, not since we learned about grapes and raisins.

I know that there not allowed to eat chocolate but I have never heard or peanuts or raisins. Dogs are allergic to some food and it makes them sick. People food alone isn't very good for a dog. My dog once ate some chocolate and it made her really sick.
