Usually with the second child the labor is alot quicker than the first. Keep in mind that labor will eventually end as it can't go on forever. I never had to go through labor as both times I had to have emergency c-sections. So I don't know from personal experince what its like. But I have been in the room with many many of my family and friends when they have given birth.

I just keep telling myself that it cannot go as bad as the first one did. My nurse was a *beep* and kept yelling at me. Ended up delivering my daughter sunny side up after pushing for 5hrs and that is just the nice stuff lol. I just watch my best friend have the easiest most perfect labor and I hope I can do the same.

She definitely did everything but help. I called that lady everything I could think of. The funny part is my SIL was in the hospital a few days later and we had to go back. She was real freakin nice next time she saw me. She knew she was in the wrong.

I can't speak for myself but my mom, passed out when she was pregnant with me (1st child) and my brother was her 2nd and she said it was allot easier with him then me. Labor lasted only a couple hours and here he was. But from what I hear allot of people have told me that the first one is always the hardest. When are you due? Congratulations by the way. I only have one and have to say one is enough for me :)

Thank you. I am due on April, 21st. I was just kinda getting an idea of what others went through or what they think. I know it all depends on the baby and only time will tell. I would not have had a bad labor if it hadnt been for that stupid nurse.

how long ago was it when you had your daughter?? i was induced, and that SUCKED. do not agree to be induced unless there is something medically wrong with you or your baby. next time even if i was borderline preeclancia i will wait till the baby is ready! lol i cant believe that in your doctor appointments leading up to the birth, that they didn't notice that the baby wasn't facing the right way.. they ALWAYS checked that within the last month or so, and again when i got to the hospital

My daughter is 27months now. She was facing the right way at my last appointment the nurse should have felt where her face was when she was checking me but didnt. It was an absolute nightmare. They werent even going to give me an episiotomy til I started screaming for one.

How was it horrible? How long did it take? Both of my deliveries weren't too long. My first one lasted about 6 hours and the second one lasted for about 5 hours. The doctor did have to break my water with my second baby, but once he did my son came out 4 minutes later.

I was in labor for 27hrs. It wasnt the labor part it was the pushing. My daughter was facing up, which the nurse should have recognized and tried to get her to turn. Instead I delivered her like that tearing up my pelvic bone and her little head. I was "PUSHING" 5HRS.

my first one was pretty textbook, 12 hours... pretty normal. My second on the other hand lasted about 2 hours, from first felt contraction to delivery. I barely made it to the hospital. I didnt even have time to process what was going on really until it was over. The second time's easier and quicker. Hopefully everything will go smoothly for ya!

Wow, you had a pretty descent go. 2hours. I felt my contractions for like 9 before even deciding to go to the hospital. I was refusing to have a false alarm. Guess I better not wait so long this second time in case I am blessed with a quick and easy labor.

First labors tend to me much harder than later ones. My first labor was induced, and it was 5 hours long. My second one was natural, and I was only aware of 5 hours of it. My water broke at home an hour after I woke up with contractions. My third and fourth were planned c-sections--no labor at all! This labor might be rough for you, or your body might be stretched enough from the first that this might be okay. A lot depends on the size and position of the baby too, as well as the size of your pelvis. Good luck!

Yeah she was facing the wrong way is why the first one was so awful. If the nurse would have done her job though she would have been able to tell that before I delivered. I hope this one is a lot easier than the last.

Every labor and delivery is different so you are never really sure about what will happen. I was in a lot of pain with mine but overall I was very lucky with my labor and delivery. I'm sure you will be fine. Just relax and don't worry about it so much because there is not much you can do about it until it actually happens. I wish you the best of luck and congrats on your precious bundle of joy.

Thank you. It is just such a special time and it was ruined by that nurse when I had my daughter. If she would have done her job I would have never had to deal with what I went through. I will be fine I am sure and I appreciate your reassurance.
