I have done so. I found a phone in a bathroom at Wal-Mart and started calling numbers in the phone until I got a hold of someone and explained that I found this phone and wanted to know if I could get the owner to call me and meet me and I'd return it. The girl did meet me. She offered to pay me a reward, but I turned her down. I just hope the Karma Gods return the favor if I ever lose my phone.

Yes, I would do my best to return a mobile to its owner. I know how much I value mine and what a disaster it would be to me if it were lost. I think if I lost mine, I would expect it to be returned. It is not a very desirable phone but it does the job for me. There are plenty of honest people around.

I would certainly do, since I am not fond of things that I do not own. Second is, I am not a fan of technologies and third is I know the feeling of losing valuable things. Surely, I wouldn't want that same thing to happen to me so it's better to return it no matter how it takes..

I think I can give you a good example! Such an incidence has happened with me. I was driving my MoBike and saw a mobile handset on the road. I quickly picked it up. Then I called a phone number stored as "home sweet home" in the cell phone and told him about the phone. After being assured that the phone belongs to them, I returned it to them. This is a real incidence that took place some 5-6 months back. Actually I thought of the condition of the owner of the cell phone by keeping myself on his place and felt the pain they would have been suffering. This made me take a decision in no time. I am proud of what I did.

yup..why would u want to keep something that's not yours? Surely if your mobile phone gets lost, you'd want whoever who finds it to return it as well…

I would definately return it. There is absolutely no reason to keep it. I found a cell phone once, and looked through the address book, found the number "home" and called the person to return it. They gave me $20 for my trouble.

I would have a hell of a time without my cell phone so I would definitely return it to the person it belonged to.

i would because i've lost mine before and i was so upset i know its only a mobile but its something i use everyday and its personal when you have messages and photos on there. Also loosing everyones numbers is annoying so yeah i would return a mobile or at least hand it in to the police
