Would you follow God's rules and be subjected to HIs government?

God’s definition of our needs is different from ours. The problem is, we often insist on what we think are “our” needs. In, a battery-operated equipment, the accompanying manual from the manufacturer says “Battery-operated. Battery is estimated to last 2 years with regular use.” Two years have lapsed and the owner found that the equipment doesn’t work. He tried everything to get the thing going, but the thing wouldn’t budge. He did all sorts of things that he thought his equipment needed, but in the end, he almost destroyed it. If he only followed the manufacturer’s advice of changing batteries every two years, he would not have to go through all the effort that almost destroyed his equipment. The same is true with our lives. We fill our lives with the things that we think we needed, but if we only look up to God (our manufacturer) of what we really need, we will have less worries, less stress, and less complicated but more effective lives for God’s kingdom. God follows a different system. He uses the simple to shame the wise. He used the poor to bring glory to His name. Let us change our mindset that God wants us to be rich in order that He could use us for His glory. He will use us for His glory in any way that He sees fit (rich or poor), as long as we are willing. If we gain respect for the money that we have, what glory does that give God? We will be reaping the accolades of man and we have received our reward in full. God is good and He allows us to enjoy good things. If God blesses us with material things, let’s thank Him. But let us not make it our primary focus—these will just be given to us as God sees fit. But we know that He will provide for our needs. If He does make us rich, praise be to God, but if He doesn’t, so what? We can still be used to share in God’s ministry. If indeed He does make you rich, ask Him why He has blessed you with more, and you’ll be surprised at the answer you will get. It will always be for His glory.

One of my great grandmother's favorite saying was always "God is good...all the time". I have tried to remember that throughout my life, especially when times were bad. It's hard to remember when you are down that God can pick you back up...but he has to do it in HIS time. Also, you are so right that riches are greater when you count them in blessings than when you count them in American Money.

How true?If we understand that we are very much priviledged than many others we will be thankful to God in the first place itself.I think nearly all of us are not even thinking about God and are running after money.God even then loves us.We are expecting a lot from Him rather than giving him something back.I think we should stop this tendency.Of course, there are people who believe that whatever they are, they are due to God. God created for some purpose.Man forgot the purpose, but the machine called man is still going on the wrong track. How sad?

Only if God Himself were here on the earth to do the governing. Theocracies are a pox on the earth and an insult to God.
