What Is Your Prejudice of Choice?

While most of us aren't outright bigots, we all carry our little animosities towards other people based on preconceived notions. We usually don't act on them, but they do cloud our decisions and thoughts. We know we do this, but somehow we react with outrage if someone points them out to us.
I know I have a few... what are yours?
Mine are...
~People who speak with accents that (to me) make them sound stupid... You know, the "Valley Girl", "hippie", "Surfer", "hillbilly"... etc.
How they talk has nothing to do with their intelligence, but it's hard not to judge them anyway.
~People who just look like dorks. You know, the horn rimmed classes; short, uncombed hair; pants too long/too short; sniff every third word; ask lame questions that have nothing to do with anything... etc.
~Journalists
~Extreme Left wing... and Extreme Right wing
~People with no sense of humor (especially those who can't laugh at themselves.

Quite honestly, the more I think about this question, there is only one prejudice that I have that I can think of. I can honestly say that it has nothing to do with race, religion, skin color or any other physical traits or appearances, nor any of the common or usual characteristics that some people might judge by. It has more to do with a chosen profession. I have and will admitt to what it is in one on one conversation or even to a small group of friends. However, sorry, I will not say what it is on public forum, mainly due to the fact that I feel it would bring on misconceptions and controversy that I do not care to deal with as it would be pointless considering it would not change my opinion one bit. I find this discussion a little bit interesting though, so I will probably check it from time to time, just to see others' responses...Sorry, I know that is not the reply you were looking for as I did not say what mine was...

Kind of a cop out, but yeah, I understand.
There are professions that I have little prejudices against also.

My Biggest problem ever, people who can't spell!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, i know it's not that big a deal, not really at all, but to me, it's like a destruction of all organization, which sounds screwy.
But I Can't stand more than anything how they use this crap slang, or shorten words for internet and texting *ex: lol, lmao, u (for you), nite(for night), and so on...*
another thing, and i honestly hope i don't offend anyone, and it's a big problem prejudice for me especially right now with a current couple that i would like to hurt very very badly because of the way they act, sorry for this, but...
People from India and Pakistan...
but not all of them, i'm best friends with some from those parts, i'm talking about the ones that come up into our country, take everything we have free, or much cheaper, get non repayable grants from the government we can't get to buy stuff like trucks and what not, start businesses, screw everyone else, and then act like their so much better than everyone else, and they deserve the world, another thing i hate, is how they are allowed to celebrate their stupid, yes i said stupid because i'm low enough when i'm angry to think like they do, customs, yet we're 'discriminating' against them when we put up a damn christmas tree, sing carols from door to door, or put a dammed santa in a mall or store window for all to see...
i wish these idiots with problems like this would get half a brain and smarten up because their destroying happiness of children all around who just want to be able to have the happiness and imaginations all around the world that we at one time were granted.
once again, sorry, not all of them are like this, but the ones that are, they and i have big problems.

Ok, we'll count this as another prejudice against the ghetto mentality (people who have been raised to believe that their problems are everyone else's fault and it's everyone else's job to make their lives better).
Thanks.

I have plenty so to speak of. Enlisting them would take the whole day lol! But a few of my favs…teachers (I was never their pet at school), mother-in-laws (I think all of them are mean just because my grandma was mean to my mom & I grew up hearing on that), all logical folks who win arguments logically (since I cant argue logically), all quick-witted guys (since I fumble for words at the right moments), anybody and everybody who doesn’t dance to my tune at any given moment…there I go again rattling off my prejudices!

I reckon that I am "prejudice" (not sure that is the right word for what I am describing) against groups of teens and young adults with out supervision - who are just hanging out or loitering. I always feel they are up to no good, and am cautious of them. It does not matter what their skin color is - if they are in a group of 3 to several I try to avoid them.

Yeah, it's a prejudice. I remember watching people react like that when I was a teenager. We were treated the same whether we were "just hanging out", up to no good (which happened, I'll admit), or gathering to go on a service project.
Thanks for sharing.
