Jianlian Yi is anther NBA star from China, all of us can see what he has got ,i think he has the ablity to reach the hight that Yao has reached .i like his style in playing basketball ,always he is a good player i think ,do you think so ?

in reality i don't like as player Yi such as i think he can be a good player in general but not for the high level requested by the NBA!!personally think that Yao Ming is a case..such as Nba now call many player from different parts of the world as china to avoid a kind of marketing program afterthat,as in the case of Yao Ming,the player can be good or not!!in my opinion this is real reason that bring players as Yi or even others in the Nba now!!

Absolutely, 100% agree with you. Yao Ming has not shown the domination that people were hoping for. Yi has shown more in his game, he is more explosive and has great versatility. I know there are a lot o Yao Ming supporters, most of which are from China. The pressure can take its toll just like how it has on other players like Andrea Bargnani. I would compare Yao Ming to Big Z from the Cavs. Both big and tall, not very agressive, can work around the rim, below average outside shot.

there is some pessure for a player who is following a great player. yao ming is a tough act to follow. yao ming is a special player. but i believe yi can be a star of its own. he has the talent and skills to be a superstar. who knows he may surpass yao in the popularity? but i doubt that.

YI is something!
And he is young,which makes him a lot of space to grow up.
Compared to Yao's first year in NBA,Yi's show is better.I hope he will catch up with Yao,so do other talent Chinese basketball player.

i am from China, GangDong.YI is form my town.he play very good in the CBA,help GUANGDONG win the championship for 3 time. Yi have speed and can shoot long distance (3point).i think he can be another star in the NBA.
