Why can I not respond to or send my friends comments.

To all of you who have sent me such beautiful comments I want to thank you. How are you doing that?
When I try to send any or reply to them I keep getting a message that says the person must be on my friends list. YOu all are but it won't let me respond.
Please help me somebody. I know I have asked this before but didn't get any answers on how to do it.
