Egg Allergy

I am 23 years old and have been allergic to egg since I was 3. Because the reactions of eating anything with egg in it was so severe, I was basically afraid to try any new foods. In many ways, it made me very self-conscience..always having to watch what I ate and where I could eat (but that's a discussion in itself). I know it could have been much worse, so for that I'm thankful. The past few years (which sounds silly) I have been branching out alot more, especially when it comes to cooking. I was wondering if anyone might know of some good, easy to understand, cookbooks for food/egg allergies? Or if you know of any good resturants that DONT give you a hard time when trying to order food..would be greatly appreciated! Hope to hear from you.

Allergies are always really annoying, but egg allergy isn't the worst one, I cook every day and I almost never cook with eggs, so I'd say that you can eat pretty much anything - or are you allergic to anything else?

Oh I'm very thankful that I don't have anything worse. With every year I seem to find something else that my body just wont tolerate but it hasn't become to much of a problem yet. Yeah cooking w/o egg isn't necessarily hard, it can just tend to be challenging finding a "ready made mix" that doesn't already contain egg in it. And if I'm cooking from scratch, my other challenge consists of finding substitutes or egg alternatives. Do you happen to have a food allergy?
