Do you remember the first thing you searched for with a search engine?

When I first started using the internet Google wasn't even born, I used Yahoo (which was only a directory at the time) to search for whatever it was that I needed. But frankly I don't remember at all what my first search query was.

I think it was "chat". I used to spend most of my time chatting in chat rooms, there wasn't many good sits back then and it wasn't as fun as it is now. Certainly mylot wouldn't of been around, those types of sites exploaded awhile after, so i'd put money on "chat" although I can't say for sure. ~Joey

Neither, It was lycos.com back when I first got the net, they was the most popular adveristed search engine. along with askjeeves but i didn't really use it =)

I know Lycos but never really used it. Altavista was quite popular over here (in Haiti) especially their babelfish tool

Hi mjasmin, since it happened a long time ago so now I am not quite sure whether it was exactly the first thing which I searched for with yahoo search engine. Yeah, I searched for information about a foreign country which I was going to visit.

well i dont have a clue as to what i searched using the search engine for the first time... but i do remember that i used yahoo seach before and i think it would have been regarding my project that i did in my early days...

Hello,it is a funny question,I dont remenber really.I will ask who remember.Oh,I guess the first time I used the search engine to search a song maybe,and maybe a Chinaese singers song,who knows.Good luck!

Like me and most people who started using internet many years ago we just can't remember. I guess it's because it was not and extraordinary even for us.
